    Hi I’ve just bought a set of superior engineering panhard rods for my hzj105 with a 4” lift. I’m about to install them. When you adjust them do you take your measurements when the car is sitting in its natural position or do you need to alter the suspension to get the Panhard Rod into a certain position before measuring your tyres to the guards.
    Cheers.

    Do you need the extended bracket with only 2” lift from standard?

    If the panhard rod does not get replaced with a lift does it create a knock when it flexes?
    I have a 2" lift and I don't think they put a new panhard rod in when it got done and something in the front knocks when I go up a gutter or even on rough rocky slow roads.....
    They have had another look butbtheu say nothing is out.of place...
    I did measure the overhang of the front wheel guards to the wheels and they are different so wondering would it be that....
    It's a 79 series
    Cheers.

      There could be a number of things that can cause a knock in the front mate, but if your diff is not centered then a panhard will improve that.
      as for the known you need to check clearances of all moving parts to be sure nothing is hitting then bushes, tie rod ends and swivel hubs for movement, loose parts or wear, if you still haven't found the cause maybe body mounts.

    Hey mate, after 50mm lift my front was fine but alignment guy said the rear toe is out, the track s moved to driver side by 10mm, what would fix the toe ?
    Cheers

    • @superiorengineering
      @superiorengineering  Před 2 lety

      Hay mate, it will fix the track but not the toe, you would be better off to ask the aligner what he has to fix the toe on the rear.

    Do I need a change of panhard rod if the lift is 50 mm or lower for Jimny2019?

    • @superiorengineering
      @superiorengineering  Před 3 lety +1

      Probably not mate, but if you get a wheel alignment from a reputable place, they will let you know if the track is out and needs correcting.
