Hi, just a tip, please don't pay anyone directly asking money and saying that they will help the poor, the person who really helps the poor gets gifted by god, like the shop owner, he didn't asked for money but you still paid for the humanity work, that was the real donation. Pumpkins and gourds are related and belong to same botanical family. Hence the local names are also similar.

Come to West Bengal if you want to have sweets and a variety of foods man...Come to Kolkata. The sweets he showed .. the long ones are called "langcha" in Bengali and the black round jamun..dry ones are "kala jamun". I'm not from Kolkata but come to Kolkata. You went to Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai but not Kolkata which was the capital of India before and Top Metropolitan city including these 3 cities you visited.
I had bad experience in Kolkata i ordered paneer masala and they added fish gravy with it, too bad. I live in hyd and i can say meat here is very less expensive than in Kolkata and taste

i dont think anyone on that street goes hungry max :), in india especially in metro cities, most eatery owners are quite generous. they dont like beggars standing before their shop, so they often give food for free if someone tells them theyre hungry and dont have money.

Disrespect comes with offering/forcing someone to eat or be around and experience YOU eating it (in their face). As long as they serve the food publicly, it is acceptable to eat without offending anyone.
You are not completely Right as eating Beef in India is nothing to be appreciated and many Indians must be watching his video on there phone while eating and it is utter disrespectful to see him eating beef and after knowing that Beef is something which he could ignore would be really appreciated by his audience and it would be a nice gesture overall.
