    I still think it's cool that Thunderbirds #5 is upside down -- On the Unifom and the paint job.

    Actually the Blues and T-Birds met up back in 2008 in Quebec, Canada. The Snowbirds and Red Arrows where there as well.

    I am sure that part of the swapping was BA in the T Bird #7 as airborne observer and TBird pilot in backseat of BA#7.
    The DOd deliberately splits them up during show season for recruiting purposes. For them to both be at the same show is a major event.

    Ummmm... No... The Blue Angels were formed in 1946 and the T-birds in 1953. There's no way their "birthdays" are only 1 year apart.

    • @codyhansley9043
      @codyhansley9043 Před 5 lety +3

      The Thunderbirds were celebrating the Air Force's birthday. Not the birthday of the demonstration team. They Air Force was officially formed in 1947. The news media didn't specify that.

    • @garystory1929
      @garystory1929 Před 4 lety

      The Air Force is a fine branch of the services of the Armed Forces of the U.S. Initially formed as a part of the United States Army on 1 August 1907, USAF was established as a separate branch of the U.S. Armed Forces on 18 September 1947 with the passing of the National Security Act of 1947. As a Marine Corps vet and former Aviation mechanic on the RF4 and the F/A18, I support and respect both Demo teams. SEMPER FI !!!!!

      Nobody really expects modern news reporting to be very accurate. To them, being off by a decade is "close enough". Same applies to counting votes, apparently....

      Yeah right! They fly 6 feet apart while the Blue Angels fly a foot apart. You could practically fit the entire blue angels diamond in the massive gap those red arrows pilots leave😂

      If they needed to and were trained to do it like the Navy is, then of course they'd be able to. Silly argument I hear all the time.

      The Blues fly closer formation than the T-birds and they don't wear G-suits like the T-birds do. So death2pc is correct.
