I met Gerard Butler in Union Square in NYC, hands down one of the nicest person, let alone celebrity I've ever met. It all started when my backpack got stolen at Union Square. As I went around the park looking for it with my dog, he approached me and said, "nice pooch! mind if I say hello?" I told him in somewhat of an annoyed/upset tone and told him he could for a second because I need to go look for my backpack that just got stolen in the park. That's when he said, "you're bag got stole?" in his Scottish accent, and said, "well let's go look for it."
This was around 9:30pm so it was dark, and didn't realize it was him until about 5 minutes into our search. I only realized it was him when we got to a well lit part of the park. He honestly walked around the park with me for a good 20 min. helping look for my bag, and playing with my pup at the same time.
Hands down one of the most amazing down-to-earth guy I've ever met, let alone being a celebrity.

I stand corrected. I skipped the briefing, all I wanted to see was how the F-16 performed and I missed the pilot saying he was going to pull 9 in a horizontal turn. I also missed Gerard Butler being fitted with a partial G-suit.
From the '70s, the Blue Angels only pulled 3 Gs during their entire airshow and did not wear G-suits for a show. All I ever pulled was three Gs and was never issued a G-suit because I was not in a fighter squadron.
But, that was a long time ago.

These Navy, Marine and Air Force jet pilots are among the smartest people on earth. Hands down. Most of what they do is training, seat time BUT they have to be prepared at all times to make snap decisions when things do not go as planned or their training did not prepare them for,, therein lies their base intelligence. The ability to evaluate their circumstance, determine and execute decisions that will bring them back to Mother Earth - alive - hopefully with their billion dollar aircraft in one piece. I trained with 4 Marine pilots during my Artillery OBC in 1970. In those days it was a requirement pilots were to be cross trained as a familiarization with another branch of our military, this is where I really learned just how amazingly intelligent those pilots were and I have no reason to believe they are any less. Equipment has come a very long way since those times but so has the level of personnel mentally equipped to fly these magnificent aircraft.

He told me that when a newbie went up in a small aircraft as a passenger/student pilot, you could tell immediately the first time after landing, if the passenger/student pilot either loves flying or hates it by looking at their facial expression.
Mr. Butler's excited enthusiasm and the wide grin, indicates that he loved the experience. According to my late friend, that means that such people are born flyers.
