  • Hey Friends! Ben stopped over and we were nerds about the Midas Heritage 2000 console. This is part of a new series called "analog reactions' which shows digital engineers working on, and talking about analog gear. A lot of engineers have never worked on an analog desk. Its cool to see their reactions regarding the work flow and lay out.

    Solo in place is useful for live for the soundcheck.
    You engage it and than as the band plays, you can solo different things as problems happen.
    Once soundcheck is done, you turn it off. I use it all the time for my LV1

    I tell people a Matrix is an ‘aux send’ for your outputs.

    are the group direct outs pre or post fader?

      Pre fader. There is a dedicated trim pot for them. They can be configured to be pre/post eq
