    Can’t say enough good things about this channel. Love the chill vibe and the lack of obnoxious humor, music or edits to add fake energy. Love the advice you have for photography, and the neighborhoods you explore. And best of all, your images are really excellent which must be tough to get while also filming content.

      Thank you so much!! I'm so glad you like our style. I am also not a fan of the fake energy. I just want our walks to feel like real life. To me, these places are interesting in enough as it is. Thank you for liking the photos. I was a bit unhappy with the ones from this session, but it's all good. The walk was fun and I went down some streets I've never set foot on before, which is always a victory in my mind. :)

    I have been struggling not to buy a new Ricoh GRIII because I know I will not have time to play around with it while already having a Nikon Z9. But last night after watching your channel taking street photos with the mighty Z9, I am now quite confidently happy with my Z9 and will go out to the street for a photo walk to take some streetlife photos with my 20mm 1.8G and 50mm 1.5G. By the way, I really love the way you presented in your videos for such street photo walk by adding a final shot with exif info after shooting a scene. Subscribed and liked.

    I spent a lot of time in this area so this video was a major nostalgia trip! Plus it's nice to see that Yokohama Station continues to exist in its perpetual state of expansion and/or renovation.

    Yokohama was definitely a different vibe. I really enjoyed this video. The scene by the river, the arched bridge, and the train going by was speaking good vibes to me. And then there was a dingy, blue metal bridge that could have worked as a leading line to a building across the river, full of japanese kanji, that you completely overlooked. I think something else caught your eye. And how could you have missed those shoes on the water(electric) meter?? Glad Axel spotted those. Anyway, great video. Loved the vibe, and yes, keep the sound of the camera on. Definitely helps us viewers know when you clicked.

      @EYExplore  Před měsícem

      @@jamesgjurovich7893 LOL, I love the economy question to a photographer. I have no idea what will happen but here is what I do know: the BOJ raised rates last week and that strengthened the yen a lot and crashed the Japanese stock market (and other markets too). But since then the yen slipped back down a bit. I think the yen strengthening is dependent on the the US FED lowering rates, but who knows when that will happen. ;)

    Not a “dumpy” vid, Lukasz 😊. Challenging to capture sense of place, but IMO the post gives viewers a credible taste of the city (industrial). Are night shoots of the city on tap? (Thinking about the train and river.)
    Did you find that folks in Yokohama have a distinctive accent from residents of Tokyo?
    Fav images include 12:26 (silhouette of guy down steps w/perspective), and 1:37 (hanging banners). Thought you might have tried for a few images of the guy whose bike broke.
    Scavenger hunts are sometimes a camera club mainstay. Perhaps the topic would make for a good YT series - e.g., let viewers suggest items for the hunt and see what you find photographically. E.g. Pepsi Cola vending machine. No? Cheers!

    Lukasz, Great video as usual. May be one question. I have seen you are on average metering mode. How good is it compared to evaluative metering ?

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore  Před rokem

      I prefer it because it is more 'predictable.' The evaluative mode (Nikon calls it Matrix Metering) weighs the focus point pretty heavily. Since I use 3D Tracking all the time, it effectively makes it 'semi-spot-metering' which I really don't like. The Average mode just averages everything in the scene, so I can easily predict what the camera will do given a particular scene.

    • @charanteja1944
      @charanteja1944 Před rokem +1

      @EYExplore Got it. Thanks. Will that make huge difference only for 3D tracking or for the other normal focus modes as well while evaluating a scene. I have got Nikon Z7ii recently, and I normally shoot on Av mode with single point AF/wide area AF (small), so I just wanted to know which metering mode evaluates the scene in a better way
