Simona Halep is an inspiration for anybody that doesnt have any confidence in their physical capabilities when it comes to doing great things in this sport.
Mention justine too
She played in many ways like fed... But just wasn't "genius" enough
Simona's smile really lights up the room. She's a delight
Most enjoyable part of Eurosport. Really love these interviews.
Justine Henin is one of the most talented women to ever play the game IMO. She had a great career,7 slams but she could have won a lot more for sure...
Absolutely adore Simona. Justine's backhand was a thing to admire as I remember
My two favourite ladies in tennis 🎾 i love both
Simona she's sooo happy.
Such a great character Simona and an unbelievable fighter!!!
I love Justine Henin so much, esp. her amazing back hand.
Big fan of Justine.
Feel extremely lucky to have Simona to watch after Justine especially a girl once idolized her.
Unbelievable inheritance for me as a fan. Loved them:)
Very nice conversation here with 4 great players. Great advice from all. Good to see Justine and Boris. Pleasure as always to see Simona and the vivacious Mats Wilander. Nice to see all of them.
I miss you so much SIMONS
Look at Halep's reaction at 36:25 - 36:46. Admiration followed by aspirations. Hope she gets more slams in the future...
Simona number 1. The Best.
2:35 Simona was number 1 for a long time, Boris...
I think he wanted to say that she may become number 1 again.
I just love this chat between them, it's sooo great.
Simona is a great player, humble and absolutely charming. Her athleticism is seldom comparable, and there are definite correlations between her and Justine. Two of my favourite players of all time
Awesome videochat with awesome champions. Thank you! ;)
This is great for young players to watch. Gives great insight into a champions mind.
Also, i think Matts is a great interviewer.
You have four players, totally different individuals with great strength and legendary in their own rights.
Great interview! I miss your matches, Simo! Love you!!!
This was great. Please do one with Steffi Graff.
Because the two are always favorite ❤️❤❤
Such a great idea by Boris, Mats or Eurosport to do this type of interviews!!! Just love it!
Admired Justine and she just behind Evert (1 and Seles 2) as she left thirs 3rd) biggest impression on my tennis career. One of the games best fighters and a beautiful game!! She really let herself /her personality be shown. Rare. Some Belgian friends said many times that Justine is the real likeable player off court whereas Clijsters is not so approachable. I won't share the real examples given but they both put Belgium on the tennis map nevertheless. Great revealing interview!!!
Oh is that true? Here I thought Kim is more friendly and approachable than justine. But here in this interview, Justine showed very insightful perspectives.
My all-time WTA top 3 is: Seles, Evert and Justine, very similar to your top 3.
And I also share your opinion on their true vs. perceived personalities.
Btw, my ATP top 3 is Nadal, Rosewall and Connors.
Such an amazing interview. I'm surprised this is not at 1 million or more.
Simona Halep is such a lovely person and great tennis player. She is my favourite sports person.
Great Show!
My 3 favourite women tennis players: Evonne Goolagong, Justine Henin and Simona Halep. And 2 of them here....excellent ! 3 slight and very down to earth women. Bravo.
Justine I adore you - cheered for you every match! You were my favorite - so talented - so much beautiful shot making! The game misses you! Mats you were my favorite, too! Simona I always felt like you played well in your GS finals; Sharapova had more experience, Ostapenko red-lined, and Caroline had finals experience too, so, I always saw your first 3 finals as positive.
Love you all, true champions :)
Awesome champions!
Thank you!
Simona Halep is a class-act! Great representative of the sport!
Love this!!!
I love this. So glad I found it. Great job guys.
Sim 💙 Justine 🏆🎾
This was GREAT.
I like both of them 😍😍🎾
Always have love for these two women! I'm glad Simona is hungry for more GS! Just found out about this podcast, and I'm definitely subscribing!
Love,Simona!!!
Simona with strengthening your emotional (connection) and control plus your psychological war throughout the match, you can win easier every match. I trust you will do so in the near future 👏🏻😘
2 of my favorite teams player's
Mats about his first slam title RG '82: Lendl, VilasI & co choked, I had no weapons, I did nothing, I just stayed there.
Absolutely genius and as humble as it gets.
Justine v Halep would have been a great
matchup.
Great Show 👌
Could someone tell me at what time do they talk about Serena please? Thanks
Halep🎾❤
I love this interview bc justine and Simona are my idols. X
SI...MO...NA...SI...MO...NA...SI...MO...NA... adorable and deadly...
Simona is my inspiration 😍😍
My 3 favs wow never thought this will happen...
Simona ❤️💐
my fav players, I wish Justin help Simona.
How simona has a typical balkan personality :) love her.
Romania is a Balkan country. So no surprise.
Justine retired too early, if she had stayed for a few years history books would have been very different.
I agree with you . Such a talented player like Justine was, wouldnt stay on 7 GS tittles.
As a Serena fan I must agree. She was one of the few to challenge Serena when They both played their best.
Yeah, she could've won more slams, as she was one of a few who was able to challenge Serena's dominance.
Rubbish. Her body was done. She knew that. Her final peak years drained her of every reserve. Also, you comment this on EVERY Justine video - feeling a little upset about Serena's achievements?
💞💞💞💞Amazing tennis players!
SI-MO-NA!!
Justin you're the best ever...i love you
Justine please come back. U can win many...many more slams 😀
I bet for Simo 6-2/6-2 I actually was at Wimbledon. But I didn't bet with money just like scoring.
Someone tell me please at what time does she talk about Serena ? Thanks
Some good moments:
1) Simona: Pleasure to talk to my idol Justine 1:03
2) Simona: did you guys feel emotions during important moment? 13:56
3) Mats: Even boris doesn't know where he is going to serve? 16:18
4) Mats: can you beat serana? 24:35
5) Mats: Serena losing recent GS finals? 29:24
4) Simona: You have to cut this 35:28
Great gusses all 4 really champs i picked wosniacki over Simona at AO because it was Carol 3rd and final opportunity due to illness whiile Simona could have more opportunities
They didn't mentioned the 03 semi's with Justine.
I used to call her Justlyin Henin lol!
ok nice talk , but lets talk about the hand incident
It is not frustrating but surprising to see that even though now Halep has Wimbledon in her repertoire she's still not considered a heavyweight champion of the likes of Sharapova, who might have completed the career grand slam but she only had five. Halep's popularity is there but it isn't widespread like that of Sharapova, Azarenka or maybe even Williams. We all know that she's a lethal player with a big backhand and has a game that can destroy her opponents and the simple fact that she has been in the WTA top 10 much longer than Sharapova was, and that too consecutively. Because I believe Halep hasn't fallen out the top 8 since her debut in it since 2014. To be in the top ten for seven straight seasons and still going strong speaks for the consistency she has had and also the sheer fact that she is a grinder for every point. She will outlast her opponents with her small stature and strong legs until they have given up running and are just waiting for the match to finish, because Halep plays a lot similar to Schiavone. Both didn't have too much power behind their forehand shots but it was their crafty style of play that made them the champion that they are. End point, Halep needs to be given her due for now she is a two time major winner on two excruciatingly different surfaces just like Muguruza.
She's one of my favorites of all time and I have followed Tennis since a child. Well over 20 titles 5 gs finals and 2 gs wins. Add into this that she is simply one of the most likeable players I can ever remember. Humble, beautiful and sweet all at the same time. Other players can't deal with the press like Simona either despite English not being her first language. Her press conferences are so impressive she handles them with a maturity, intelligence and charm that is very rare.
Why is Boris using feet for measuring height, when they are all from the continent.
Because not all on the continent use metres. Or "meters", if you are from the USA. He lives in UK and UK uses feet.
@@flowerpower9741 The Continent as in the mainland of Europe, where they are all from. That's why it is funny. I though it was clear, sorry.
@@LuLu-nw6bi Unclear for me, sorry. 😁I was thinking continent as in all European countries.
Justine retired at world no.1 in 2008 after winning 2GS titles in 2007. Came back in 2010 and made the final of the AO on her 2nd tournament back.
Henin and Clijster retired way too early. Both times. They both would have won much more than 7 and 4 GS titles respectively. They were exceptional athletes.
For those saying Simona is just a pusher and underserving of being called a champion clearly does not understand tennis. Simona is a champion because she gives you nothing and she has bounced back tremendously after some bad loses. Bashing the ball does not make you a great champion. What makes you a champ is consistency, will power, belief, strategy. The physical strengths mean nothing if you dont have the others.
Henin won 2 Slams in 2007, not 3.
yes but they are womens... they maybe crave for childrens :( i m a man and i'll put having a children ABOVE any proffesional peak , money or glory. is just... how it is . Mens have that problem/preocupation too but its less visible
@@regulusarcturus yip. I actually meant 2. Was a typo
Agreed. The idea that Simona just puts ball back is the most laughable thing I have ever heard. She plays with power, only her serve is slightly weak sometimes and she has admitted that. Some of her passing winners in big matches have been incredible. Both her final at Wimbledon and when she lost to Woz in Australia open final there were some very aggressive winners from her. Her accuracy on the lines and her angles is also incredible. You don't win grand slams and become no1 just by putting ball back.
Funny , how can halep is a legend only 2 slams
maybe becouse from active players is the WTA player who stay the longest time in top 10
Great interview. I do believe that the Serena Justin played was far superior to the Serena Halep plays. Serena has declined quite rapidly in the last few years. A weaker WTA era has disguised this though.
**BAD NEWS***..no tennis until august....deciding before a couple minutes from ATP Boss andrea gaudenzi.....source german= Bild newspaper
its not bad news, its the safe approach. its great news.
It was logical. You must look the good part, the final part of this season can be hold probably so..... be positive and everything will be better.
@@Hussein_Nur its bad news
simona win over williams in wimbledon is akin do david vs goliath
Zhuzha (or Zhustinochka) really didn't see the big picture in 2008. She has overtrained herself in 2004 - as Soderling did later - to get more confidence and win matches NOW. All the information about her missing some parts of her leg since birth - and thus injuring herself through her career - just shows her team's unprofessional approach (don't cry for Argentina, Belgium!). A key point for a movie script about Justine Henin would be Carlos' coaching of Na Li. I'm sure, Na Li's two slams with Carlos... it was very bitter for Justine to watch. Maybe Justine should hire Tursunov for Wimbledon, just to try an act of revenge against Carlos... Just kidding, no offense.
I can't believe they put Halep together with Henin. She's nothing compared to Justine, what a joke
But Simona is not a legend there are many other better players she just "passes balls"
SI-MO-NA!!!!
