Motor sounds really good and almost 25mph is pretty good. I think you are going to like the setup you have, now all you have to do is catch some fish : )

Looksn like it is doing very well. Sounds fairly quite at low to mid rpm. Keep us posted on where to find props and parts. Id say good idea to buy several water pumps and seals to just make sure for the future. Im pretty sure im going to be buying one soon. 👍

You sound like you know outboards! I cant wait to see it broken in and with a newer prop! Upload an update video! (and if you could explain your process of sizing the prop for your boat in the next video) great video, thank you sir!!!

Hey Jerry! I just got an 18hp Hangkai myself on a 16ft seanymph aluminum. I’m hitting about 7mph max with two adults. Not sure what I’m doing wrong! I’m thinking I may need a jack plate and a different propeller, when I get home I need to see where the caviation sits compared to the heel, I got a long shaft Hangkai

Do all hangkai 18hp have the same shaft length? I watched a video where the guy said the short shaft isn't exactly short. On Amazon it says there are short shafts but I think they might all be longer than advertisex . let me know thanks.

looks about 10 inches below bottom of boat , thats more like a sailboat lower unit . Use a straight edge and add to transom to jack motor up before buying a prop . Might find the RPM will be more and then look at new prop pitch , Sry I got a jacker plate on my bass boat and brother was a retired boat mechanic . best wishes . new prop is less work .

@@juanziegler1471 cavitation plate is about an inch and a half below the bottom. I definitely need the 11 pitch prop though and raise the engine. Turning way too many RPM's. I'm having a 6" setback trim and tilt built right now. I've been around boats all my life and built and raced boats. I know exactly what I need to do. 👍
