R2 opp is truly what everyone should aspire to be (in terms of our positivity). We need to cherish this individual and keep them safe.
I love facing a new strategy where I get reality checked. The first time this one dude Calamity Locked me or the first time this other guy used Ultimate Falcon to prevent me from activating any effects, I was like “woah.” I wasn’t mad. That was crazy and it took many paths for them to get to that boss monster. It wasn’t just Link 3-Apollousa. I actually like when my opponent uses a clutch move like one guy Called By my Albaz to negate the one I summoned to fuse off their boss monster. I was like “Dang. That was a nice move.”

Still learning how to play optimally with spirits, it really requires good planning and managing the number of cards in hand for discarding
honestly most of the time you just send titaniklad and only add kitt if you dont have another way to play
Tbh it’s not that complicated, as long as u have a dragon in hand (Albaz is best 1) u can use it in 2 ways most of the time
Send Titaniklad, grab Kitt to get access to Quem and full combo in EP
Send Albion grab Kitt if u want to play around Brafu got Ash

Game 1 had that gimmick puppet lock but didn’t take it. Anytime branded fusion goes off with Quem on the field it’s an auto puppet lock.

G1 im confused. Why is Quem summoning MJ cannot be responded with lost on the field? It was just C1 Quem and its not doing a fusion summoning...? @9:01
I’ve been reading lately on Branded Lost ruling, and it can be confusing. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong please.
Opponent cannot respond to Quem chain link 1 nor respond to any further chain links at 9:01 because the last effect to resolve (cl1) in the previous chain was a successfully resolved fusion summon of Dragostapelia via Fallen of Albaz eff starting at 8:33. So Drago is summoned, and in a new chain he activates Quem cl1 to which opponent cannot respond to while Lost is on the field, and even further activates Branded in Red cl2 to which cannot be responded to either.
Also starting at 9:22 is a good example when opponent can finally respond to effects even if a fusion summon occurred. Although Sanctifire was fusion summoned in the previous chain (Quem cl1 special Mirrorjade, Branded in Red cl2 fusion summon Sanctifire), the last effect to resolve was Quem cl1 to special Mirrorjade.
On the resolution of a fusion summon that was chain link one the opponent cannot respond under lost.
Quem trigger effect was on resolution of the fusion summon since a card left the extra deck.

that effect is spell speed 2 so yes. the only spell speed 3 effects are CARD activations of counter traps.

Dimensional needs to be put at one or banned
It’s why it’s important for you to win Game 1 so if it were to go to Game 3, dimensional barrier isn’t a factor anymore.
@PAK When playing branded yes high spirits gives you a guaranteed play but you dont have to play Kit. Kit does nothing for you apart from losing you card advantage. In your first game vs tearsworn you could have went bf and if it got stopped you could have went to high spirits line. This allows you to play safer and more optimally cause you are not losing card advantage. High spirits plus discard is two cards, kitt and its put back is another 2. If you have to use opening you pretty much have run out of cards in hand while you wont "plus" that much in the end phase. Whoever told you that this is THE LINE to go no matter what is not playin the deck correctly. High spirits should mostly be a fall back plan for when bf gets stopped. In this case (talking about g1 vs ls tear) you could have done the same combo plus saronir in hand plus having a second albion the branded dragon in the extra deck (better resource manage) plus an albaz would not be chillin in the banishment due to lubellion searing effect that would put him back

round 1 game 1 when u summon granny G off of cartesia and lubellion, he used dragostapelia targetting quem before hand so the effect of bringing back mirrorjade from gy shouldn't resolve since quem has pred counter right? or am i missing something here
Dragostapelia's continuous effect negates the effects of monsters with a predaplant counter. Since it wasn't on the field anymore, it does not apply the effect, so the quem is no longer negated

looks like he chained retribution to droplet (opponent didn't send a trap) then chained cart to his own retribution
droplet's restriction to respond only applies to the card immediately responding to it. so he can't use cartesia's effect as cl2 to droplet as cl1, however, he was allowed to still use traps since droplet didn't send a trap. so he uses the trap as cl2, meaning cartesia isn't responding to droplet anymore, it's now responding to retribution and therefore can be activated. so cl1 droplet cl2 cartesia would be illegal, but cl1 droplet cl2 any spell or trap that can activate cl3 cartesia is legal. this is the same type of play that people would use to get around dark ruler no more back in the day with dragon link. they use dark ruler cl1, you respond with a non-monster, then you chain hot red dragon archfiend abyss targeting drnm to negate it since it's not technically being activated in response to the drnm itself, just in the same chain link

Yes, but because pak chained retribution which is a trap effect, he’s no longer in the window of cannot respond to monsters because a trap effect was activated, so now he’s allowed to chain a monster effect

He chained Branded Retribution (trap) so he could respond with a monster effect to a trap activation and not directly to Droplet.
Why game 1 stapelia effect target quem didn’t resolve?
Stapelia puts a counter on a monster that "while itself is on the on field they cannot activate monsters with said counter"

Your question is misleading. Pak didn’t respond with Cartesiana after his opponent activated Droplets. Pak chained Retribution (trap card effect), then allowing him to respond with Cartesia. Cartesia in this scenario is following Retribution and not Droplets in this scenario.

Yes, as its not the activation of the trap itself, but an "effect" of the card being used instead. Its when Counter traps are used on the field that are considered an "Activation" and are thus spell speed 3.

He chained retribution GY effect because the opponent did not send a trap. That’s how he is able to use Cartesia.
