Great point! I have yet to get to Alex's timeline in my Classic Who watches, but he could very well be if he didnt die previously. Maybe it was just because she was with him there in 1963, whereas Alex wasn't at that time.
I also love the theory of Ruby being the granddaughter to Susan too!
