  • Hey guys, this week I was curious... want to see the cabin crew accommodations for Emirates?
    When it comes to Emirates Airlines, there’s no doubt that as a company they represent travel, hospitality and a lifestyle of luxury!
    When crew travel, they often stay in five star hotels, travel first class and enjoy per diem allowances to eat and explore international cities during their travels.
    You might ask yourself though :
    Where do Emirates Cabin Crew actually live?
    What does Emirates provide crew when they initially join the company?
    Where are new Emirates crew placed?
    Find out in this video or read the entire blog post on my website for even more of an insider's look!

    HI CAT!! Cool to see what the accommodations look like
    Did you use an AI audio processor on your recordings? I noticed some sounded like the raw camera mic but others had the same room ambience but with an adjusted and slightly recreated voice

    Hello~thank u for the amazing video. I just saw that ur place so is better than other flats ive seen😊
    If u dont mind i would like to ask one question.
    During training do u get a full basic salary or just half? One utuber mentioned half so wanted to confirm.
    One more,,,regarding the tickets. I heard that there are no more buddy tickets. Is there still no or is it resumed by now?. 😊

    • @catbeingcurious
      @catbeingcurious  Před 10 měsíci

      Hello, thank you for watching :) I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I think maybe what the CZcamsr meant is that during training you receive a portion or less than half of the total salary. You receive the full basic salary but you don't receive outstation/layover allowances or hourly pay. Altogether, you will be paid more when you finish training. The buddy tickets are resumed I believe as well.

      Hi Luciana, thank you so much. You don't need to be nervous, being excited is better :) Usually if you get the job they will call you in a day or two after you attend the open day. You can choose how long you need before joining in Dubai. Some people join after one week, others after three months. Give yourself time to say goodbye to your loved ones! Hope this helps. • @catbeingcurious
      @catbeingcurious  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Hi! All crew receive an annual leave ticket for their home country's airport (or the airport nearest to where they were hired) and annual leave to go home as well. As for off days, it depends on the month and the roster but the minimum is 8 days off a month keeping in mind that you can (and probably will) work evenings and weekends :)

    Hi there, I have a question because im a little confused. Is the relocation perminate while you work for Emirates, or just for the 7 or so weeks of training.
    If the former how long are you in shared housing before getting a private place. And is this place of your own covered or do you now pay for it?
    And while training, besides included accomodations, are you paid?
    I know this is alot haha, but thank you kindly in advance!

    • @catbeingcurious
      @catbeingcurious  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Hello! Good questions. The relocation is permanent for as long as you work for the airline. You move there in training and stay until you no longer work for the company. The good news is though that the company covers the costs as well as the cost of utilities so you really only need to pay for food and wifi. You are also paid during training! Hope this helps xx

  • @javiremoro
    @javiremoro Před 4 měsíci

    Can I ask how much time do they give you from the golden call to the flight to Dubai ? Do they assign you a training course date and you have to accept it right away or do they give you different date options ? I've heard other content creators say you were able to wait until six months to fix everything in your home country before the training if you needed but I don't know if it's still like that. Thank you very much and keep up the great content !

    • @catbeingcurious
      @catbeingcurious  Před 4 měsíci

      Hi, that is correct. You can decide once you receive the golden call how long you will need before joining. I think it's up to 5-6 months as they'll be back in the country probably at that point. Personally, I gave 3 months. There are new trainings sessions every week and they will tell you based on the timeframe you need when to start.

      Hi and congratulations! To answer your question, you're paid base pay for about two months since training is 8 weeks. You do receive an advance your first week in in order to help with expenses and life in Dubai but I recommend having savings and living frugally for the first little bit. The advance is also taken out of your pay until it's repaid later on. Hope that helps!

      Hello, you are not allowed technically to have pets in the accomodations. When girls move out of shared accommodations and get their own or later on, they may get a cat though 😺
      It is hard with a flying lifestyle to have a dog but a cat is more manageable as they are more independent. Also, cats are more acceptable in the middle east and easier to handle as they do not go outside in the heat. Having a dog in Dubai is not easy 🐕‍🦺

      Hi there! To apply, candidates must have completed at least a grade 12 or complete high school education. They also must be at least 21 years of age. I am not sure if your diploma is equivalent to grade 12. If so, great and if not maybe find out the equivalent in your country. Once you have this, if you are still not 21 you can find other customer service or hospitality experience to add to your CV so that you can be more attractive to the company once you do apply :)

I prefer let her pass her first 6 month probation and see but during this time I would like really to go to this country to see by myself if I can live there or not ( I don't speak Arabic, I use a translator to speak English ... ). So first thanks you again because it's seem more easy right now...
      I have read something about that I have to quit as guest every day at 1.00 am.
      So precisly ( I think you answered lol but I really want to be sure) my question was that I want to be recognised as boy friend ( and not being married because we never think about it before and that's not meaning that our relationship wasn't serious)
      I really trust her and know that as a cabin crew she will fly the hole world and happy that she can do that for a couple of years as a young girl she is, but sad also for our relationship to be again separated. So at least having the right to be there even for a couple of weeks, without paying additional hotels ect it's for us a good notice. So thanks you if you can just confirm again this good news

      @@enriquebogosian3181 Hi Enrique, the UAE is a lovely country and is very expat-friendly (over 80% of the population are from other countries). The only language you will really need is English, though Arabic is a plus. The rules are fairly open to foreigners, though in the UAE unmarried couples are taboo. So many crew have boyfriends and partners stay over as "cousins" I think 😇

    How much money do you need to be able to buy food and stuff when Emirates call you to Dubai for training

    • @catbeingcurious
      @catbeingcurious  Před 5 měsíci

      I would say have at least 1500$ if you can. You can survive off of less, and many do, but having this much will ensure you can enjoy Dubai and not feel like you are depriving yourself. That being said, the company does give you an advanced salary amount when you first arrive so you can survive, but they will take it from your next few paychecks.

      It honestly depends! Some girls become best friends, others have some conflicts or need some time to adjust to each other. Basically establishing mutual respect among cultural differences is really important from the beginning!

    Well you should be more honest with people or at least do your resurch better.. You're only lucky to have this type of accomodation because you're a new joiner and they just opened up this brand new building. Most of the building are quite different and you never know which one you'll be assigned for. Lots of buildings have multiple issues that noone will really fix( mold, AC, insects). There's at least one accomodation where you have to share a bathroom with another person. And no pool in the building on top of being czary old and in horrible dodgy location. I'm saying all that so that people don't have their hopes high and understand that you might struggle quite a bit

      Hi, thank you for your comment. It is true that the company randomly assigns accommodations to all crew upon hiring. I guess I thought this was so obvious given the many videos on CZcams with different suites that I did not address it, and only shared my experience as a new joiner in 2023 because it seems the company is building new accommodations as well. Although I agree that some living arrangements are not as good, I can only share my own experience but thanks for your perspective

    Is that real FA work every day without rest I have heard you get only 16 hours off between flights or less and you get only 4 days off a month

    • @catbeingcurious
      @catbeingcurious  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi! Most airlines will give you a minimum of 8 days off a month. You will also receive minimum rest sometimes, but often you will also have more time, even days, between flights so don't worry.
      How busy you are depends on the flights you are able to operate, the airline, the season of flying (for example, the holidays) and more. Everything will be okay :) don't stress haha

    Can you opt out of accommodation because you have a pet?

    • @catbeingcurious
      @catbeingcurious  Před 6 měsíci

      I don't think so: You can opt out if you're married or if the rules allow it (they change every so often).
      If your roommates are ok with it you can ask them, as some people have cats for example but you can be reported for it.
      The best bet might be to have the pet live elsewhere until you qualify to live in your own place (when you reach business class, I believe).
