  • I know there are many great APPs out there. Here is one of many that I find works great. Whoever came up with 'FlySkyHy' are rock stars in my mind!! Customizable in flight display, and it keeps a digital flight log for you where you can go back and replay the flights, and so much more. Love these cool techno gadgets!!
The phone mount is a Ram iPhone mount using the handlebar attachment. Here is the newest and coolest one...better than mine:
    amzn.to/2ql0rpL
To be able to take phone calls while flying I use a motorcycle Bluetooth headset:

I've been looking at getting into flying for a while but seems something comes up, (mainly drones!) This year is the year. Your videos are inspiring, just a guy out flying, having the time of his life and not putting on airs like so many other flying channels. Cheers!

I know at least one thing that there's no app for, so I'm hoping to create it. idk how to code though, so it'll take a while to get past the learning curve.

It was a Ram iPhone mount. Worked pretty good but ended up going away from it as I believe the vibration damaged the phone!

This is probably a great app but only if you have an iphone...
If you don't have an iPhone and would like to have a flight computer then Look up XCSoar or the derivative of it Top Hat Soar...

That's the one I use. (TheSkyViking) It's a great way to create files you can open in Google Earth. I started using it to track where I've searched for missing people and debris. It's also great for sink and lift monitoring, wind direction & speed, tracking back to a location etc. It's battery hungry, so use an external battery.
