      I thought they stopped making 780 Ti's? Should have maybe waited for GTX 1070 and then check the price of that and the new lower price of 980 Ti.

    • @TheUniversalEyes
      @TheUniversalEyes Před 8 lety

      The 480 will probably be on par with a 380x with probably the best VR performance, which most people will never use. We will find out in a week or two once reviewers are sent their samples, but I will take bets that it won't be what we expect. 1070 is the way to go for now.

    not to be sounding as an ass but that's info is misleading. as it's doesn't make connection faster. the second nic simply allows the option of a separate discrete network.
    I just prefer not to have misinformation and to clarify so no one buys this thinking they can nic team

    • @TechteamGB
      @TechteamGB  Před 8 lety

      I understand that on Windows it isn't possible to team and therefore can't create one single faster connection, although I'm fairly certain I didn't say that. Having dual nics, even if they are different, is still good and/or better than a single nic. Having something like a direct connection to a NAS for example is still useful. If I remember, I didn't say the nics could be teamed, just that it was nice to have two on the board. I wouldn't class that as misinformation or misleading.

    How did you manage to get the gpu working in the PCIE x16 slot? I have a Radeon R9 280x and when I insert it in the first PCIE x16 slot there is no signal going to the monitor. However it works in the PCIE x8 slot. I have tried other video cards in the x16 slot and there is simply no signal going to the monitor. Is there a setting in the bios i should look for?

    For a $133 dollar board, it seems better than anything that ASUS has. (All of the Gigabyte Z170x Gaming series boards are the same thing, some just have different cosmetic features) Criticizing the color of the bios screen is lame, who cares? In fact, who cares about what a board looks like, what are you going to do, sit there all day long and stare at your computer? Building a pc for looks is quite stupid. If it works as it should, that is what matters the most. As for heatsinks on the board, most of them (even the screwed down ones) are useless to begin with. Yes, I own this board.

    "especially with dual Gigabit NICs", so what did you mean by this or what benefit do you see to these considering there is no NIC team option?
    this mobo has 2 different NIC chipsets, intel and the killer nic

    • @TechteamGB
      @TechteamGB  Před 8 lety

      +Ackros Gliceas it's does still allow for faster connectivity, especially if you were to say direct connect on to a local Nas, and set up an ad hoc static connection on a different subnet. I agree it isn't the best as they are different nics, but you can still benefit.
