Excellent choice. I picked my 2022 Mojave a month ago and opted for the manual transmission. The ride is awesome with this suspension and is easily the most fun vehicle I've owned.
Congratulations! I could not agree more!
Preach…. I had a TRD Pro Tacoma, and went to the Jeep Rubicon Gladiator . I loved my Taco., but the Gladiator is da bomb
Thanks for that comment. I have been a huge toyota truck fan. Still am tbh. But i have to say the interior and the tech is very nice in the Jeep. Im so far happy with my decision.
yep, i currently have a 21 trd offroad taco with premium package and im getting ready to trade it in for a gladiator mojave. i test drove it and immediately fell in love with it. much more fun to drive than the taco and way better interior
I have a 2018 TRD Pro and love it but the shifting and power lag is making we want to get a mojave also. Do you really like it much better?
Good choice!
Thanks for watching!
Congrats!!
I love the orange accent.
thanks man! I appreciate it. I do as well I love the orange!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! 😍 I own a 2021 2DR RUBICON and am a big fan of the “JL” series Jeeps. You can seriously feel the quality all throughout the vehicle in the materials and the way it built. The Tundra is a great truck but the “fun factor” in owning and driving a Jeep is unmatched! Best of luck with your new GLADIATOR!! 💪🏻
You don't say I'll have to take a look at that ride of yours sometime! 👀👀 Haha i agree its been a fun 48 hrs with it so far!
@@OdysseyOffroad Lol! 👍🏻👍🏻
@@OdysseyOffroad love it. I got a Rubicon in firecracker 🔥 🧨 red love it I got it in a manual 😏. Towing is rated for 4500 pounds but listening to engineers mentioned the lower rating is due to clutch longevity. Can tow no problem 6000 (plus). That wasn't a deal breaker for me. Hard top painted fenders, top, metal bumper group, front cam, alpine system, Bluetooth speaker 🔊 ( which I love and use consistently), drop in bed liner, oh and LED lighting group. Very well equipped. MSRP was $56,000.
My wife loved it so much that she wanted one too. She opted for a Willys edition she liked the options and felt it was best bang for buck especially for future mods.
@@SimplyCarReviews thats great! Congratulations. I looked at the Willy's myself before deciding i wanted the mojave.
@@OdysseyOffroad based on future plans the Mojave was best for your case (not lifting or heavy mods) Willys is a good canvas for future mods. I am not doing to much to my Rubicon which is why I bought my specific trim. I added the oem bull bar ,kc lights wireless,4 channel AUX switch, Bestop soft topper and soon a winch. It will be complete. No rims for me and as a matter of fact I have take offs ( rims and tires I got for 500$ with 50 miles on the tires) for my next set. Looking forward to future videos 📹. Also we opted for soft top on the Willys with automatic transmission. It is decently equipped and let's just say it was less... much less than my Rubicon and that's before discounts and incentives. Both vehicles were bought within 1 week of each other during the peak of the pandemic when most dealers wanted to rip you off.
Your right about not getting leather. If they don’t have ventilated leather seats, cloth is much better, more comfortable in extreme heat and cold.
Good tour of your new ride. The salesman could learn a few things from you!
Haha it's funny the salesman asked me if I wanted a job 😂
@@OdysseyOffroad Lol
Congrats on the Jeep. Optioned out nicely at $56k.
Thank you!
Nice looking ride 👍
Thanks!
So many I see hating on the Mojave! haha, why? The Mojave is all reinforced underneath unlike the Rubicon. Rubicon wishes it had the extra frame support. I'd rather have to add a front locker vs what the Mojave has but I live in Arkansas where most of the dirt roads I'm hauling ass down and I don't rock crawl. Furthermore, I have the better suspension is out the box ready to hit trails hauling but vs. oh wait I might have to use the front lockers at 2mph :)
They both definitely serve their own purpose. For my intended use the Mojave was the clear choice for me. Not to mention the on-road ride comfort is terrific.
Can always add a RIPP supercharger on it like the Ginger did @EpicAdventures. Beauty beast ! 👍
Nicely optioned Mojave. You can't go wrong with the Pentastar 3.6L V6, rock solid reliable. There are 2 options I would have added... LED lighting group, Cold Weather package. I have those option on my Wrangler 4xe. The LED headlights are some of the best I've ever had, and having 3 stage heated seats and 1 stage heated steering wheel is great in winter. A great aftermarket option is the Bestop Sunrider. I like being able to flip open the top without having to stop and store the Freedom Panels.
All great options! How do you like the 4xe? I have heard good and bad on them.
@@OdysseyOffroad 4xe? Thumbs up. I must be in the 'good' category. Owned mine since Oct 5th, haven't had any issues with it. Enough EV range to make my daily commute without using any gas.
I just traded my Tundra for a Gladiator Mojave as well
How are you liking it?
@@OdysseyOffroad awesome so far. I love that I was able to get one in manual.
@@noahgleich8520 very cool! Yea i am enjoying mine too. Congratulations 🤘🏻
I've been going through CZcams looking for videos of people who traded their Trucks for the Gladiator my 01 f150 finally said its last goodbyes and was looking to get into a newer one a friend suggested me the Gladiator and I've been on the fence about it
I will say it really depends what you plan to use it for. Its a capable and fun little truck but has a lot of quirks. It is still at its core a wrangler.
Nice truck, I have the same. Im unfortunately considering mud flaps as I get "road sling" mud/snow up to my door handles.
Yup thats life with a jeep. Front mud flaps would probably help in your situation for sure.
With the car market these days wondering how much under sticker you were able to get? Been test driving the different Gladiator trims the past couple weeks and think I’m going to go Mojave this week.
The Mojave is the best handling Gladiator in my unbiased opinion 😉 I'm sure you will love it.
The Nojave is probably better than Rubicon. Cuz the only advantage the rubicon has over Mojave is the front diff locks. That's it. In many ways the Mojave has more options. Stronger frame. Better suspension. Better looking hood. Too bad the Mojave doesn't come with the diesel. But it wouldn't make sense to jump around with a diesel.
They're discontinuing the diesel anyway. there's been some issues with overheating low speed off roading in those. I personally like the 3.6 better.
@@OdysseyOffroad that sucks. I have the diesel. Best thing ever. Very torque
I got a 22 sport s. Thinking of the mopar lift.
Yea the mopar lift comes with fox 2.0 shocks i believe . Cant go wrong with that imo.
@@OdysseyOffroad yeah I'm a little skeptical since its my first jeep/truck. Might just stay stock and go Mojave one day
@@LalaneMotors good thing about the Mopar lift is the dealer will install it. If you just going 2 inches there is nothing to it. I wouldn't hesitate.
@@OdysseyOffroad they quoted me 2600 installed so if I do it I would install it with a buddy 1550 kit alone with tax
@@LalaneMotors yea its not really that hard if you know what your doing tbh but if never done it before i would get it professionally installed. All depends on skill level.
Just curious. Why didn't you opt for a 4runner or a tacoma?
I explain that in the video I need a pick up truck for one so the 4Runner was out and the tacoma was harder to get and also not as much backseat room or charging ports for the kids
@@OdysseyOffroad thanks for the reply. I must've missed that part since my wifi connection was spotty.
The slot in between the cup holders are actually for your key fob. But it does hold phones pretty well 🤙🏼
Haha yes you are correct. Ill be ordering a phone mount for it shortly.
@@OdysseyOffroad I originally wanted the 67 design phone mount but ended up with Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions. Basically same product but the cost is less. Also you can get 10% off if you use the code "DrivingEverest"
Btw, great choice with Sting-gray. I have the same color in a Rubicon model.
@@vjescote9239 i like your thinking, i was looking at the exact same mount as well . Best color for sure🤘🏻
We have a 3 year old daughter and twins on the way. Do u think 3 car seats will be ok in the back?
First of all congratulations on the inbound twins! To be honest with you it's the width of the truck. It's a midsize truck so it is narrower than a full size truck is. I think you may have a tough time putting three car seats next to each other, depends on the car seats i guess but the rear facing infant seats take a lot of room.
Thanks so much! We have a ram 1500 now but am leaning towards a gladiator but we will see!
tell you that it's coming out let you know is now
Being a "Desert" runner I would imagine these would be good in the snow as well! Are you originally from the North East? accent sounds familiar ;-)
Haha you guessed it. Long Island NY born and raised 🤘🏻 moved out to Az about 10 years ago.
@@OdysseyOffroad Massachusetts man myself
@@OdysseyOffroad HAHA, same here from L.I. moved to AZ in 08' test drove one yesterday, thinking about pulling the trigger on one! Any advice when talking with the sales ppl? they are like hawks lol
@@MetroCollectablesandvlogs haha that they are lol what part of az you in?
@@OdysseyOffroad Q.C... what about you?
Nitrogen caps so you know how special you are…. Hahaha!
Ohh im special. 😬
Nitrogen caps so you know how special you are! Hahaha!
That is about five horsepower per wheel from what I'm told.
The Fox shocks are junk, terrible creaking sound. Front shocks being replaced under warranty. On back order from China of course. Dealer said its not the first set they have replaced. $3200 each plus labour in Canada. I hope you have better success than me.
My rear fox shocks were making clunking noises before I got rid of the Jeep I was going to replace them with falcon shocks from teraflex.
Should have bought a trx lol
haha that would have ben in the opposite direction, even bigger! lol they are badass trucks though!
