🎣
This is the new 2023 @daiwausa Tatula 100 . The reel comes pretuned with the tension knob and all you need to do is use the brake dial based on your thumbing skill. This was brake setting 8 while casting full power on a 3/8th Oz lure. I consider this the sweet spot because it doesn't over spool during the cast for lesser power, but at full power, it over spools just a bit as portrayed at the initial cast, Butt it fixes itself during the mid cast without the need to Feather the spool, making it beginner friendly so one can work on their thumb mastery! You just need to stop the spool before the lure touches the water!
🎣
Super impressive reel! A casting session video is available on @discount_tackle CZcams channel if you want to see how easy to cast this reel!
🎣
Rod portrayed was the @majorcraftamerica MS-1 MSC-WJ701M.
Lure was the @zmanfishingproducts Chatter Spike on a 1/8th Oz size 4/0 ZWG Hook.
12 lb @SUFIXLINES Siege Mono

Dude. Now you are making some kick-ass videos. Nice to see your baitcaster tuning in slow motion
Did u like that slow motion sound too? ;)
I love the tatula best reel I’ve used. Went to shimano for a while but couldn’t stay away from daiwa.
Magnetic reels been amazing for the past several years. So much easier to setup and even teach others. My go to are Daiwa usually
Never had a daiwa but i felt how smooth they are when playing with one at bass pro. I also like the tws setup they got going on. Probably get one next.
@@ARandomTrex in my opinion, best reels out there overall! And I use and review many reels on the market for my channel
baitcastersis are amazing, in my region they aren't popular and I've used only spinning reels for 6 years, but after i tried cheap 40$ bc reel knew i need it. And i bought a Daiwa tatula, using it for 2 years now, and it is amazing! it was my first baitcaster
Tatulas are amazing indeed. Glad you are enjoying it
About spooled ya

So if you tighten your cast control knob just a bit you will get rid of the loose loops.
I want the loops. Thx...
What bait did you chuck? Smooth little reel, picked up 2 from TW clearance event but haven’t got to use them yet, ice on lakes where I live currently
TW had the older one on sale right? the newer one (this one) got a lighter spool! But I was throwing the Chatterspike on the ZWG hook. I usually leave those type of info in the video desc ;) Hope the ice melts for ya soon! Mine melted due to the nasty warm rain, but it will freeze back up next week :(
I literally break the tip of my med strength rods to the second eye. Then take off the second eye and replace with an end one. I can launch a Yamamoto worm so much further. Awesome for shore fishing cause it's easier to cast and pitch in tight spots. Broke my rod one time and did a quick fix and noticed I get better hook sets and just enjoyed the shorter stouter fishing pole.
Yamamoto worm is a heavily salted lure. Almost any reels can cast em, but I wouldn't break my rods on purpose. I just buy rods that does the job!
@rawrfishing well I have so many now lol
i mean.. i got a ton of rods too. i rather sell it and then get a rod that is made specific to the technique you are doing rather than a generic rod. fishing is SOOOO much different if you get a rod made to do what it's supposed to do. But high end specific rods are pricey... :T
Well this Is about the stupidest comment on CZcams in a LONG time...first off you're ruining the action power and sensitivity of the rod and most important THEY SELL SHORTER RODS,that will maintain the PROPER ACTION it was MEANT to have..Jesus you kids are ignorant
Can I buy some rods from you? All 6 of my rods got broken my by friend when he closed my truck bed on all of them @@rawrfishing
Major Craft is pretty good
So far so good! I like em
Hello, I'm planning to get my first Baitcast reel . My choices are Daiwa tatula24 and Shimano Slx dc xt. Please help me choose the right reel for a beginner like me. Thanks
Not a fan of DC BC reels at the moment. I had an SLX but it sported a older DC module while the higher end had the latest and greatest. I sold it so fast at a loss and never turned back. So Tatula 100 would be my go to!
in addition, anyone who's picking up a BC reel first time should avoid DC reels. They should learn how to work with a reel rather to depend on a computer chip... If i were to depend on a computer tho, definitely not SLX.. i go highest end as possible :P
Get a shimano slx 70 MGL
Can’t go wrong with Daiwa.
If you are learning to use a bc reel, go for tatula. Dont use DC reel because you will not know how to thumb your spool when you are using non DC reel. For newbie better use magnetic then you can go for centrifungal. DC is the last option
If ur trying to learn, avoid DC reels. Stick to the daiwas! Magnetic braking reels are easier to learn than centrifugal. Watch my casting tutorial featuring the Tatula 100 as I show you how to explore the brakes!
If you're not throwing a Daiwa on your fishing rod,.... you are missing out!!! I have Lews and Daiwa gear only with the exception of a Abu Garcia baitcaster that I still own. My Daiwas all cast phenomenally. My Lews are back up gear and they have a fast retrieve ratio. All are deadly when applied properly
Daiwa is my fav hands down. Ark and Bates are runner up for me right now. Amazing braking for those reels
I fished 15lb fluoro coated copolymer once because straight fluoro is too expensive. I hated it. Let us know how this Sufix 12lb feels compared to braid. Also want to know how the Verivas 25lb mono on the swimbait combo is working compared to KK braid.
I spooled on this old Sufix Siege Mono for casting session as well as collecting footage for my casting tutorial. I am recommending to beginners to use mono as it's cheaper and easier to pick out. Not really using it fish, but it's one of my long time favorite before exploring japanese lines. It's actually very smooth, supple and strength is pretty reliable.
The 25 mono was way better for my big swimbait setup as it was casting smooth. with the big reel, i didn't need the braid anyway to achieve long casts. i can't wing a heavy bait that hard anyway or i will break my back lol. i had line snap/break at braid to leader when it comes to these heavy lures... so going all mono this year was great. i snapped once only on a cast of a spro kgb chad shad.. poor perch swimbait :( gone after a few catches...
@@rawrfishing Thanks! I thought I was missing out on some really good mono line 😅😅. Looking forward to the Tatula 100 video.
I mean I did like it for a long time. I got the largest spool since I get discounts from Rapala website ;)
How long cast lure 7gram?
Did not measure...
Whats the rod??
Major Craft MS1 7ft Med worm and Jig
@rawrfishing whats your go to budget rod and reel bait caster
Depends what you trying to do. Too many size rods and reels out there so it really depends!
If you need to thumb it,you need to be using a different type of reel,js
U mean if you don't wanna use your thumb, you need to look into other reels! Because baitcasting reels is all about thumb mastery...
nice..cant wait to hold one of this on February. Gift from wife on birthday. (requested gift) lol
Hope you enjoy it!
