Unfortunately, lots of French people do not like the British. Found this out for the first time way back in the 80s when we were in Paris, and it's happened on subsequent visits.

I did the same brand new kitchen new granite top & I dropped a heavy glass ornament while dusting onto granite top🤦♀️ how strange that guy staring at you. I’d have looked up translation & said, ‘Do you want a photo mate’?!!!

I laughed so much when you said'its still got bits of toast in it from toaster.' Love your accent! I think that's what made me laugh you , sounded so serious. Hopefully you will find a way to repair it that won't break the bank ❤
I'd say the quickest solution on the work surface is to buy some coloured wood filler of similar shade and paste it in, sand it flat. Just something to stop food or water getting in there really.

You can get worktop joint adhesive called "Colorfill" in many colours & you can use two or three to make it look like the surrounding surface or fill the hole & recover the whole top with a sheet of Formica.

Did the same when a wine bottle fell out of the cupboard. Bought a single sheet of black and white chequer tiles, roughly 12 x 12 inches, inset into the work top and grouted. Great place for standing a toaster or even a hot pan.

Nice tour. Hope you enjoyed it. We live near Malaga and it has finally cooled off. Only 25c now. Its been such a long hot summer this year. We start our 2 mths away in Oct visiting France and Spain on route. Thanks for the trip. We have enjoyed you visiting many places that we have also done. Take care.

France was always closed when we visited. As you drove through little villages it was as if they knew the British were coming and closed the blinds. At least you didn't break the glass on the cooker that is horrendous to replace. I hope you get it fixed OK. It's not as if anyone was hurt. Take xare
omg it’s like you have just seen what’s happens i have just opened the cupboard above the cooker and didn’t realise i had put in there my travel cup and it came crashing out on to the glass lid thank god it didn’t smash 🤦♀️

Great video watching you on your adventures has been really entertaining while traveling around Europe showing us all the sites. Sorry about the damage to your work top I'm sure it can be filled and laminated over to look as good as new. That work top is nothing as you’re all ok 👍🏻 They’re made of light material so as to keep the weight down 😀 Easy fix I would of thought guys 🤔 As I said previously were going to do the same sort trip in April 2025 when I retire but in our car 🚙 Safe trip home 🏡

Have seen damage like this before where you get a nice ceramic tile cut out the damage & insert the tile it creates a nice feature 👍

Hi Mark and Lisa! Thanks for the heads up! We went to the prettiest village in France, just an hour from Rouen. It really is beautiful. We went in the abbey and heard the choir, and ate at a lovely restaurant.😊the road in is narrow though. 👍👍🇫🇷

Hi again. Yeah we had a coffee in the blue and white cafe on the corner, then we ate at the crepe restaurant opposite the church in the middle of town. It’s so beautiful and the houses are beautiful ❤x

Get a nice flat chopping board that close matches and glue it down perminatly. You will be use to it in no time...
There are loads of kitchen worktop repair companies on the internet if you really want to get it fixed. Accidents happen! Usually Mark 😂😆😉!! Really enjoyed your trip guys, welcome home!!
Ref damage work top find something you can place into the top cut it out to shape at fit it in ie holder for sink utensils ext maybe a nice chrome looking

Im sure you can resin fill it or even get it laminated over, or just hid it with the chopping board like ive hid the wax on our carpet with a rug.

Just watching your video and we are currently in Europe and have had exactly the same in the Aires and being stared at and made to feel not welcome, this morning we watched 2 locals get in there motorhomes - move them and put there tow cars in there spaces so no one can take them. Must say it’s done us… we are done with motorhoming now - fed up of looking for park ups constantly and then not getting any sleep… fair play to u and mark for doing it full time - we are going home a week early - we’re done - back to holidays abroad for us.
ohh that sounds a shame that it’s totally out you off it can get on ya nerves a bit but we either leave that place or go out for a walk thank you for your lovely worlds xx
