    It´s impressive how much braking force this Porsche have before the first turn.
    It´s also impressive how much the 765 pulls...
    Excelent driving from both!

      You can't compare two cars like this. If both cars were in equally skilled drivers and prime setup (tyres, etc) the mclaren is much faster. Like the MC is better in every single aspect, of a track car, power, weight, aero, chasis, etc

      @@nazarpredatorak "If both cars were in equally skilled drivers and prime setup", only nurburgring meets your requirement. Since you said Mclaren is better in everyway, what's the official time for 765lt and 991.2gt3rs?

    • @nazarpredatorak
      @nazarpredatorak Před 4 měsíci +4

      @@vicwu1660 exactly, you're clueless. Nurb times don't mean that much. Porsche is a know nurburgring tryhard, they attempt lap records on multiple days, multiple tries, multiple setups and tweaks, multiple drivers, perfect track conditions, etc. Most manufacturers don't try so hard. To bring one example, look at the current production car lap record, the AMG one, the record lap was done literally with parts of the track wet, so mercedes could improve the time a lot, but they don't care as much as Porsche.
      Also you bring up the 720s as an example, yes, it is much quicker than a 991 gt3rs, but it's still more of a GT McLaren, while gt3s and gt2s are track cars, so its better to compare them to mclarens LTs

    That is an impressive match up, and shows the pro's \ con's of each of those cars pretty well. Amazing how much ground you make up on the back half of the track, then onto the front straight it's all over no matter how much speed you carry through the final turn.

    The driver in the RS is clearly more talented. As great as the 991.2 GT3 RS is, the LT driver was often on the wrong line and braking too early in many of the corners. A more talented driver in the LT would have disappeared after the first lap.

      I was watching those horrible lines and the obvious early breaking in the LT, wondering who was driving. They must be learning the car. But seeing some of those lines they took was torture to watch. They realized they were being chased and instead of focusing on the fundamentals. It seems they just wanted to make sure they didn't get passed, hoping the power and dynamics of the LT would make up for all the discrepancies of the driver. 😏

    The Mac driver is clearly not that accomplished, as his lines are wrong and he isn’t braking fully, more coast, then brake .
    However the Beetle does have the edge in the corners, and rightly so with its much more aggressive front end mechanical grip advantage

      Actually 911s tend to struggle with understeer due to a relatively unloaded front axle. The 991 generation onwards incorporated rear steering which naturally takes some of the burden off the front axle. Prior to that, 911s were being spanked by Nissan GTRs around most tracks.

    The 991.2 GT3 RS still one of the best road legal track capable cars ever built. Certainly one of the most enjoyable to drive round a track, a very rewarding car when well driven. Its an incredibly engaging car in a way the 992 GT3 RS isn't also its only marginally slower.

    • @VK6AB-
      @VK6AB- Před 4 měsíci

      @@brianhimmelman420 No its not. LOL its entirely dependant on the driver . It is so little different in the real world that is irrelevant and same driver, it depends on the tires. How do I know, fully data logged 992 GT3 RS at two high speed euro circuits. Can I drive, why yes I can, 5 seasons of Cup. I kept my 991.2 GT3 RS and dropped my 992 GT3 RS allocation for a 296 GTB. I may pick up a 992.2 GT3 RS but it has to come a long way from this technical toy. Perhaps you have just learnt something, but probably not. And as a track toy its useless without the frunk because any sane person that that values safety equipment and basic tools sticks them in the frunk oh wait, you can't do that with the 992 GT3 RS because it hasn't got a frunk. Happy easter you have just been schooled.

      How do you compare 992 gt3 vs 991.2 gt3 rs on track ? Iam planning to buy one. My usage is 50:50 on street vs track.

    • @VK6AB-
      @VK6AB- Před 3 měsíci

      @@THEvedaE I logged two in Europe and also own a 991.2 GT3 RS - the differences are very small. So small it comes down to tire choice. The 991.2 GT3 RS is much more useable on street as it has a useable frunk. From a technical point of view the 992 GT3 RS is excellent as it is more adjustable but outside of that the differences in the real world are tiny. In my view the 991.2 is much more visceral - I feel the 992 series is a US market driven car, larger, heavier, gimmicky. I was disappointed and dropped my allocation for a 296 GTB - the 992 GT3 RS is a great car, but lacks the fun factor of the 296 GTB as well as the usability of the 296.
