Yes they used green screens for backdrop & floors. Props to the people who did the CGs. This song is #1 on BB100 & the sales numbers are bigger than the next top 50 combined. The mv posted the biggest debut in CZcams history - 28x+ mil views in the first week. It is also the vid with biggest premiere (3-4 mil concurrent viewers) & fastest to get to every milestone - 10 mil, 20, 50. 100 mil in under 24 hours. 200 mil in 4 days. They are racing to 300 mil & the exposure at VMAs is boosting the speed. BTS has trained for 10 years to dance yet with stable voices & and not look tired. For this performance they trained for 18 hrs a day for 2 weeks. If you want to hear their true vocals suggest watching Stay Gold or Your Eyes Tell or Truth Untold (all the live performances).

They performed for the VMAs all the way from South Korea since they couldn't travel due to the pandemic. Hence the green screen background.

they won all the 4 awards they were nominated for and also charted #1 in the hot 100s announced yesterday. i suggest you to react to YOUR EYES TELL LIVE ( czcams.com/video/E1uFvKzoNwA/video.html ) by BTS. this song was produced by the youngest member jungkook. their vocals were amazing in this.
