Better Oblivion Community Center battles The Replacements and more

- The press release that accompanied the announcement of Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst's new band, Better Oblivion Community Center, was pretty much just a self-effacing Q&A. After a long winded question on the origin of the name that involved Google Translate and a cemetery, Phoebe responded with, "Do people care where the name came from?" Conor settled the debate by responding, "Nah." They had no intention of over-intellectualizing the process.
The FADER invited Phoebe and Conor to take themselves just as seriously as that press release for a game of 'Would You Rather.'

If Conor could create a new sense what would it be and how would he go about articulating it, asking for a friend... the replacements are my all time fave band, and i hot into conor and phoebe (individually) because i heard the replacements in their writing. i could not be paying them a higher compliment. love all 3
did conor say no about hanging with drake and kanye lol he is so kool
he probably wanted to say 'isn't Drake a bit of a creepy predator?' then thought better of it - I could imagine Conor and Kanye getting on quite well but then again him and Drake are pretty much the folk/hip hop soft boi OGs.

Me too hey 🤔 fun fact I had to choose between a JF show or see Phoebe because they clashed on the same night. 🤷♂️ I went with the latter only because John was a big influence on me musically growing up but def next time she comes to my town idk
