- I laid down some guitar tracks to one of Silverchair's best songs, Emotion Sickness, from the 1999 album, Neon Ballroom. This is the 'live version.' Here we go again, Ben Gillies @BenGillies888
In case you're interested in what guitar gear I used...
Guitar:
Fender Special Edition Customer Telecaster FMT HH Electric Guitar Black Cherry Burst
Amp:
Vox AC4C1-12
Pedals:
Zvex Fuzz Factory
Boss BD-2 Blues Driver
V3 Jekkyl & Hyde by Trutone
Boss DD-8 Digital Delay

Fun Fact:
Silverchair kicks ass
Wish Daniel Johns fully healed and Silverchair reformed with a new album, they were a phenomenal band
Healed? I think he's good actually, he makes some electro music
@@anaelpommera1423 yeah cool
@@Rayk76 lol
💯 some good old school silverchair sound ~ imagine them gigging all their old stuff ~ the eagles 🦅 did it (hell freezes over tour!) a story in the name of that tour..
Emotion Sickness is an absolute masterpiece. Their best song on their best album IMO. Very few song writers even come close to the way DJ composed his songs. He is brilliant.
Ben vc é demais... um abraço aqui de São Paulo Brasil
It reminds me of the live version of Emotion Sickness that appeared on Across The Night Tour. I don't understand about technical musical aspects, but this video has that dark, melancholic and powerful sound. Ben has just announced that the second part of "Behind The Beat" is coming soon.
Thanks! That’s exactly the sound I was chasing. Yeah, heard about Part II. Guess that means I’ll be doing more videos! P.S. I’m uploading another one in the next few hours
thx for this upload ! It demand energy and patience. I knows.
Thanks! It usually takes me ~8 hours to record and upload these. This one was particularly harder than most of the others I did.
Xxx ! @@thesilverchairfan
This is sick as, deserves way more views
Such an underrated band
Felicitaciones
This could go on forever while i floated away into the ocean of space in my mind lol
For sure
Ben❤
Awsome Benny.....silverchair comeback ....make it happen!
This song, oh dear this song. Fucking great!!! Amazing performance! Love your pedal effects. Congrats from Brazil =)
Thanks! I actually just made a video on Dan’s pedals.
@@thesilverchairfanooooo I need to see ittt
sensacional
Amazing song. Amazing drummer.
Really amazing playing. Such a beautiful song and arrangement
Thanks. I loved recoding it!
Oh I want that guitar so bad!
One of the best-sounding and most versatile guitars I’ve ever owned. For about $1,000 USD, it’s an excellent value. I can pull Les Paul and Telecaster sounds, and it has a single coil tap option to get Stratocaster sounds.
@@thesilverchairfan The Telecaster can't be beaten, and this is the Super Telecaster. Lovely to boot.
I NEED SOLO TABS PLS!!!
almost forgot that this is one of the best song ever written...ill pay good money to see them live even with a different capable vox..
great playing i quite enjoyed this
Thanks! This one was my fav to record so far.
And... The fan could be Daniel Johns no?
I dream about Silverchair come back.
Me too!!!
great work.
Thanks! It was my favorite one so far of all the others.
solid!! 😊
Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I hate that fun aaahhhhhhhh
No way he played with Ben 😱😱😱😱
Suck awesome play! You realized a dream of mine. So cool brow. You nailed it.
Ah it’s just a fan playing over Ben’s tutorials. Still fun to watch though. Cheers 😄
@@zerosoma33 I know bro! But for who is fan like me it sounds you play with him.
Nice man ..!
Thanks! Would have been even nicer if I waited until I got my new amp. I could have easily put this performance to shame.
❤
He's still got great hair - my bald ass is jealous
Silverchair was the band that got me into music. I owe Ben Danial and criss my ability to play all instruments now. I wish they were still a band. But too many people messed with Daniel Johns mental state of mind with all the nonsensical bullshit.. Best bast ever for me!!!
Those key changes tho. 😢 a silver hair staple i guess.
They were a phenomenal band! I was just listening to one of their London performances from the 2003 tour and, man, they were sooo professional and tight. We all miss them!!!
Basically Tonight, tonight. Smashing Pumpkins.
It’s true there is an undeniable influence!
Brilliant cover, that guitar sounds great
And to think I only recorded the audio with an iPhone!!! Imagine if I played a larger tube amp and had a good recording setup!
