Looks like a good place to meditate.
people need to understand that this 'fear of the unknown', whatever lurks in their subconscious, the thing that makes them hesitant to participate in an experience like this... that fear is the thing holding you back from truly understanding yourself. Who are you, at the deepest level? If you can't stand the idea of being alone with your own thoughts and fears , then it's you who will benefit MOST from altered perception (psychedelic therapy, meditation, sensory deprivation, etc). Most people are (even if they don't know it yet) inherently unwilling to participate in this sort of deep diving, usually by our environment, our family situation or trauma, religious upbringing, and societal rules. Ask the ultimate questions. Receive the ultimate gift.
She was nervous before she went in; So she’s talked herself into whatever it is
yup
The mind can do all sorts of things if its left alone for long enough.
you mean the brain....
I want to try this so much. I would absolutely fall asleep almost instantly.
The subject should sit in an extremely comfy chair so that the body relaxes as well. Input about gravity and sit upright is still going on.
I doubt it. These rooms are so quiet you can hear your own hearbeat and blood pumping which would probably be very anxiety inducing
Abc needs more of Lily, she's a fantastic role model for my neices
I wanna live my life here
Are people for real this uncomfortable with their subconscious? I'm really cool with my mind, so it always makes me wonder if people "ham it up" for the camera, or because they know others (on the production team) are watching in experiments like this...
Yes. Some people are
I think it's just so foreign to the brain you literally lose it. Dissolves ego
That’s not the point. Lol. It’s an experiment of the brain. She is not scared. It’s a perfect example of the brain reacting to a new environment without the sight or sound. An experience none of us have done. For example, it’s like those restaurants that serve food in complete darkness. Our brains will perceive food/taste differently.
Imagine taking psychedelics and accidentally lock yourself in that room
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂I just imagined myself
Might be better than being there sane lol
Nah, listen. DMT, in a float tank, in an anechoic chamber. mmmm now we talkin
Bruh😆
DMT, in a float tank, in an anechoic chamber, and you bring Joe Rogan in...
A float tank is even more sensory deprived than this.
But in this situation placebo is influencing her too much, she was already half way there before it even started just from suggestion.
How could this have been so easily overlooked?
She would have been able to take control of the experience if she realized she had the potential ability to.
My guy, we're not all built the same mentally. If you're prone to overthinking, and especially if you have some sort of an anxiety disorder, once that snowflake lands, it doesn't stop until it's an avalanche at the bottom of the mountain. Some people can reassure themselves and be fine while others really can't.
@@themonsteraddictmmxvi1564 well said. 👋
So were those actual effects of the chamber, or subconscious reinforcement of what she was already expecting?
This is basically my first shroom trip. If this was treated as a spiritual expirience and we lern to get comfortable with it, i bet a bunch of mental health benefits will come of this
I can't help but remember that scene from an old favorite childhood movie called _"Short Circuit"_ when the robot (Johnny-5) goes haywire yelling out *_"INPUT!...INPUUUTT! I NEED MORE INPUT!!!_* 😂🤣
Never seen that movie before, just checked it out because you mentioned it, Thank you!
As a mom who gets little to no silence or time to self, I'd love a chance in a room like this, to pray & worship & probably sit there recalling all the things I need to do and haven't done yet. I'd be asking them to make a list for me as I call out the tasks I remember. LoL
Haha! Nice one.
This isn’t a peaceful experience lol
loudest silence
@@jeda7343 have you tried it?
Thanks for wasting my time with this comment
I have tinnitus so total silence would be an absolute blessing ...
Or the opposite. I have tinnitus too, and when I'm in very quiet places, the ringing feels much, much louder. Once when there was a blackout at night, I had to hum softly to put some real sound in the room because the ringing felt (ironically enough) deafening.
Man I would have loved to read the entire safety warning...would could have it said?
Silence room exists
People (with tinnitus): "piece of cake"
If you stay there long enough, of course you’ll go mad, but for me, I live for loneliness, silence and darkness, this would be home for me.
Is it really total silence if she is narrating what she is thinking and feeling ?
Can i get one..? I really like total darkness and silence.. Soothing and peaceful
Well not on that room
Would love to see an experiment comparing the methods
that neurotypical and neurodiverse people cope with the room. As a neurodiverse person, I am always thinking and analysing with or without external inputs. I would expect a clarity of thought with an injection of meditation. You still have sensory input as you can touch yourself. Interesting and great to watch.
oh thats interesting, I could be "neurodiverse" as you describe it and that could be/that's my problem...(also, basically....)
do you meditate (in general/because of that)?
Best place For meditation
Lily Serna is awesome 😊
I want my flat turned into an Anechoic Chamber.
John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt
His name is my name, too
Whenever we go out
The people always shout
John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt
The mind is a very powerful and an extremely scary thing at times.
Plot twist of a movie: she thought she was talking but she was just hearing her thoughts
How do i get signed up to go into one of these?
I was just thinking that this was like my last acid trip. Hello darkness my old friend! 🥴
Kinda reminds me of those pitch black pods where you lie in salty water so you're weightless and it's supposed to deprive you of senses.
Some have difficulty just sitting with themselves and their own thoughts. Unfortunate.
Imagine if the camera dude see a figure in background💀💀💀
(that my dream)
I would bring a mattress, blanket, and pillow. I would sleep way faster than usual.
Eh perfect place to take a deep nap with vivid dreams.
If we unplugged more this wouldn’t be a problem
I think I wanna go buy a shed and put foam all around the room and just sleep gotta make sure I have ac flowing in the shed cause I love in Florida
I wonder if this would help you sleep
This is maybe why we dream. The brain doesn't fully to turn off.
seems like a nightmare
Id take a nap there. Ez 4 hours
I'm autistic I do this emotionally
But she was talking to herself the entire time, so she was just sitting in a dark room
Looks like Mackenzie Dern.
I built one of these Anechoic Chambers in one of my closets. I go in for hours. I love to hallucinate, drug free. I often have Anechoic Chamber hallucinations about whatever my desires at the moment are. Be my momentary desire be for sex, money, power, influence, mastery or control of people, resources, and events. After two hours, I am so rested that I often don't need sleep for at least 18 of the following hours. It's like getting REM sleep on steroids.
Please stop making up stuff
@@portillamail - LOL - Do you honestly think that the life you are living is real? Please know that you are only a figment of your own imagination. Lighten up and enjoy it.
Sounds awesome
So this should tell what being place in the 'hole' in prison would be like. No experiment, some extremely worse than others. Then throw that person back into a community or society
Best place to sleep
In space nobody can hear you fart.
Your thoughts become your reality! Breath and explore other options!🤪
Blind and deaf people:
She is actually gorgeous
no hallucinations or whatever. It's just click bait.
it's all quiet and calm, which is boring for a youtube video so all youtubers insert some action in there to gain watchers.
This is where women are different from men.
Where do all of her subconscious thoughts go? They bounce around in her head and can't be released or projected onto others. She has to learn proper meditation, clear her mind completely, and some relaxation techniques.
I love to be left alone working in my dark study all weekend. My wife thinks I'm an alien. I think I stared into space for 19 hours once thinking about nothing. 15 minutes would be an absolute joke.
No one can reach the nothingness in their mind, not even during sleeping.
I see those colors and lights even if I have my eyes open and meditate. I just have to stop blinking, stop moving and stare at one spot. It will take me 1 or 2 minutes to get those kind of hallucinations.
Maybe bc I have adhd and my brain is bored easily if I don't do anything^^
