I never threw anything while watching TV, movies, or PPV but I often had a recurring dream of getting so pissed off while playing a game that I threw my controller at my (then CRT) TV and it went right through the glass screen. 🤣

Damn! I must admit by watching Scott Hall (R.I.P.) slicking back his hair from the thrown cup of some liquid was priceless. Basically he no sold it and improvised a bit with the hair hand brush.
I remember as a younger man going to the Old Boston Garden , seeing Jesse “ the Body “ Ventura against “ Mr. USA “ Tony Atlas in a steel cage . A fan threw a piece of a broken wooden chair , yes back then they still used wooden chairs , and Jesse used it on Tony ! But when Tony grabbed it and used it on Jesse it was great ! To this day 1 of my favorite memories from the WWWF !

With this recent trend of throwing objects at Singers during concerts getting bigger, I'd hate to see it happen in any wrestling promotion

I remember watching ECW and the infamous chair throwing incident.
I’m disappointed they didn’t mention that. I hate laughing at it but it’s more so the story that gets me, because one of them basically said throw me a chair to the crowd and they obliged one turned to three then three into ten. I am glad no one got hurt though how no one did with that many chairs flying is certainly a miracle

People don't believe wrestlers can legit hurt them. Proves that all sport fans are massive douchebags yet they still attend wrestling shows to prove how "tough" they are...
I really, REALLY dislike specific wrestlers, some of them to the point where I'd definitely yell something angry at them for sure! However, I'd never throw an object of any kind at any wrestler ever, no matter who they were. There are much better, way more fun ways to get your point across without chucking something at someone and putting the wrestler or someone else in danger of getting hit in the eye or head, and really hurting someone very badly. It's really stupid, and a good way to get thrown out and waste money on the ticket, and even possibly get sued by someone.

I remember in the 1970s, there used to be a little old lady who always sat ringside at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles for wrestling events. She would routinely bring a rubber chicken with her to taunt the heels. But for goodness sake, she NEVER threw it at anyone. I thought of that lady when the chicken was thrown at Cody.
Back in the days of the territories, fans pulling stuff like this would have resulted in the fans getting their a$$es kicked by the wrestlers. It gets worse. Some of the fans carried weapons like knives and firearms or even pepper spray to harm the wrestlers. Other fans even started riots in the arena, and the wrestlers needed police escorts because everyone in the building wanted to kill them. One example of this (credit goes to Jim Cornette) is when The Junkyard Dog was kayfabe blinded by one of the heel wrestlers(The Freebirds). On a house show, later on, The Junkyard Dog came to the arena as if he was blind and a fan said that he was going to avenge the attack and was carrying a firearm. Thankfully, security realised what was going to happen and interceded to stop the attack by the fan before it got ugly.
So back in the day, arenas didn't have metal detectors by the building entrance?? Cuz they really should have cuz they do have it these days

When Shawn left, Vince was really upset at him (and Shawn was the WWF Champion).

I threw a soda at the Nasty Boys on live TV way back in the day. I was 12, they deserved it. Nobbs turned around screaming and I hid behind some dude. Great memory! That and yelling back and forth with Luna 🤪 She was terrifying!!

-Sting getting hit in the head by a drink at Uncensored 1997.
-Vince getting hit in back by water bottle. He was talking to Sable (I think) and then said to the crowd, "That's okay, because the next time you do that, you're going to hit her."
-Mitch (Spirit Squad) getting water thrown on him. Later, you see fan getting escorted away.
-Paul Heyman getting hit by drink in the face after Big Show won ECW Title.
One I remember was at a 1985 Saturday Night's Main Event. Uncle Elmer is getting married to Joyce when an object bounces off her shoulder and hits her in the face. It's on WWE Network.

To anyone crazy enough to throw something at the performers, make sure it is something that is not going to cause physical damage like an empty plastic bottle, a soda cup, or a popcorn bucket, and not things like batteries, baseballs, or full bottles of water because you don’t want to injure them you just want to send a message (also i was wondering where that rubber chicken came from)

I remembered I died laughing when Curt Henning got hit in a back of the head by a cup, during his NWO promo, wearing Ric Flair's robe. Also, another incident where Curt Henning walking down the ramp, he got drink splashed on the side of his left face, then he got hit in a forehead with a paper ball. And I also cracked up when Scott Hall got hit in a nose by a paper ball during his promo with Xpac.
