- Fast Amtrak passenger train and CSX freight train cross interlocking seconds apart! Millenniumforce and I filmed Amtrak crossing the diamond seconds before a CSX freight manifest with caboose on April 11, 2016 in Plant City Florida. We have never seen two trains cross this diamond that close together. Amtrak went over the cross over less than 90 seconds after the freight train! Unusual railroading? No, but interesting and cool! I'm planning on making a video compilation of all the idiots going around the gates. I have a ton of them if I can get them all together. The last couple days I've been thinking about the Folkston Railfest since it has more trains than Plant City. I can do either one and Folkston is starting to sound pretty cool.
Well if you do we are staying in the same hotel in Waycross March 31st Friday night waking up Saturday April 1st and heading straight to Folkston following a train.
Man, that sounds like fun! and its a closer drive too.

Wow was that ever cool. A passenger train and then a local freighter with a caboose on the end. You don’t hardly ever see a caboose anymore. I don’t know if you knew but they used to call cabooses hacks. You would have an engineer or (hoghead),a fireman, and a head end brakeman on the head end. Then on the caboose or (hack) you would have conductor and rear brakeman. That’s the way it was when I started in 1970. Anyway I really enjoyed the video Jawtooth. You do a great job. 👍👍👍❤️

3:45 A caboose wow not many railroads use them anymore nowadays since they have those EOT "End Of Train" devices with the little flashing red light on them that they hook up at the end of the last railcar which replaced the caboose.

0:42 the Amtrak starts coming through the Crossing then at 1:12 the CSX comes through the other crossing going a different way

What type of K5LA horn is on CSX 2382?
Is that just a commuter route for Amtrak or does it actually go someplace far away? I remember when the Shenandoah ran through Cincy and Loveland to Washington DC and it had 3 cars and nobody on it. I took off work today and went to Newtown and Glendale, didn`t see squat! The CCET is loaded for bear with tankers at Broadwell, so when you get back you will probably be able to see some tanks stored someplace. Is that your truck?
+1960gambit This is on the route from New York to Miami. Amtrak takes this stub end line to Tampa twice a day so you can catch it going by 4 times a day and it turns around on a "Y" which I was able to film also. People going to Miami or New York on trains 91 and 92 have to ride on this branch out of the way and then back to the main line to resume. Also, I remember when Amtrak rode the line you mentioned from Cincy through Loveland and Goshen to Washington DC. I rode it round trip from Cincy to Orlando in 1979. Yes , that is my truck in the video.
