  • A good way to ensure that you will have a good supply of clean and pure water in your home is to install a home water filtration system. Filtering your water removes bacteria, heavy metals and chemicals from the water.

    I would of liked to see you twist & hold those glued fittings for a few seconds, but over all very nice setup. I also liked you used shark bite fittings anywhere maintenance might be needed. I would recommend a looped pipe for filter bypass for when the home owners wants to use a wash sink or outside hoses so that the filters aren’t filtering unnecessarily to prolong the filters as there not cheap. I also would add pressure gauges to monitor pre & post filters. It would only add 50 dollars in cost and 10 min in labor but makes the home owners appreciation your work more and adds an easy way to troubleshoot when they need serviced. Great video keep up the good work!!!

    You're amazing for this. This is so detailed and to the point. Seriously bro, thanks. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Where are you out of? I build custom homes and would love to hire you or have you come consult on a few projects. Lets swap emails if you're interested.

    This is an awesome setup. I hope to get an answer to my questions. 1. Where do you have your tall silver water filter drain to? Also what are the three blue filters filtering?
    Then lastly, where did you get all your materials from?

    So why did you decide to use so many filters is this for a large house? Or is there a particular reason

    Nice very clean work. Any reason you went with chlorine instead of UV? I have coliform in my well and I bought a whole house well system with UV light from SpringWell. Also bought the sediment filter for in the beginning. However, I noticed you have 3 large blue filters. Am curious is the large steal tank the softener then? I may try to utilize my old Omni canister for a carbon filter somewhere for when I sanitize my well I can capture any not flushed out.

      thank you so much, the owner wanted it that way

    • @waterfiltersofamerica2174
      @waterfiltersofamerica2174 Před rokem +1

      That would be the correct application, that chlorine was to prevent iron bacteria from growing in the Terminox iron filter. If the application was to treat coliform, there would need to be two 120 gallon contact tanks to have at least 20 minutes of contact with chlorine. UV lights are not 100% effective unless you have proper filtration and soft water.

    A chlorination injection on a type b well system allows for the removal of both arsenic 3 and 5 by conversion. We are thinking of this system and want to know what the running cost annually are to operate it. Thanks

    • @go-diy
      @go-diy  Před 2 lety +1

      I think $3,000 I'm not sure of the cost since the owner of the house bought all the equipment.

    • @waterfiltersofamerica2174
      @waterfiltersofamerica2174 Před rokem

      The chlorine will oxidize arsenic 3 and change it to arsenic 5 making it easier to filter out, but chlorine will not remove it from your water. You will need some type of media, that would be determined by how much arsenic was in the water.

    Does the chemical feeder know when to pump when the water flows through the pipe? Is that how it works? Thanks

    I was under the impression that you needed a mixing tank for a chlorine injection system. I have high sulfur I. My house and currently have my well>green sand filter>whole house filter>softener. Can I install an injection system like you did? And if so would it tap in before or after the pressure tank? Also with my setup would the chlorine be noticeable?

    So- Cool video, obviously you understand the treatment. But why are you using Soda Ash. Is your pH so low that you cant use Calcite with some Corosex? Or is there another reason for the Soda Ash?

    • @waterfiltersofamerica2174
      @waterfiltersofamerica2174 Před rokem

      Soda ash is used in applications where the pH is not extremely low, using Calcite will increase the hardness of your water, where soda ash will not. The proper use of Calcite or Corosex is dependent on the starting pH.

    I was not clear on the chlorinator...
    Was it before the filters, coming from well head...or was it after filters going towards house.
    Thanks.

      The chlorine is injected on the incoming side of the pressure tank, any chlorine injected in this application will be removed by the Terminox filter.
