Hey thank you for sharing so much wisdom on this channel, where about's in the UK are you? I'm in Salisbury however land prices are so expensive here it's a little disheartening
I’m in Oxfordshire and it’s crazy expensive around here also, we bid on lots of plots for about 10 years but lost out every time and had given up, then my wife just happened to see this plot advertised in the back of a local paper and we just went for it
The only difference was we got a mortgage extension ready as we put our bid in so we were cash buyers and I think that’s what made the difference
We paid £24,600 for the plot just under 4 acres nearly 20 years ago now
People thought I was mad at the time but I’ve met people since who have paid like £90k for an acre or two so I think it’s an investment

Alright bud, just stumbled over this. I was searching for ideas on growing for wood as we have been lucky enough to move into place with 3 acres including a bit of woodland. Noticed you mentioned you have have an application to planting trees. Didn't know you needed too. Does that apply to everyone? Cheers
