- I finally took the time and beat the Stardew Valley Roguelike! It took forever, but I DEMOLISHED Concerned Ape's Record. Here is the story of how I did it.

as a fellow small-handed person, the keyboard struggle is something i relate to a little too well :’)
I think some companys sell smaller key boards
as a console player, it takes me seven clicks to get to my cheese 🙃
That's what i liked about the mobile game, it changes the tool automatically which i found very useful in the mines

You know if stardew valley can be modded into a well-made dungeon crawler, I can't wait to see what concernedape will do with a more fleshed out combat system in haunted chocolatier.
The Calamity sound track in the background is a nice touch. Putting Stained, Brutal Calamity over the final boss was STRONG.

As someone who enjoys roguelikes this mod looks super cool, but as someone who hates the combat in stardew I’m conflicted lol
no seanie stop it, i got to top 5 on the leaderboard and i was happy with it. don't make me want to reinstall the mod, it can't get me in that kind of chokehold again

I don't see how using the sling shot is cheese, its just using a different weapon lol
@@EdgeLie except that every single player that makes it to that floor is guaranteed to have a sling shot. So everyone has that option.
Thank you, I was going to comment this! Getting it stuck on a bit of decor or using an exploit is cheesing, but this just seems like a legit strategy that still requires skill.
Lol, every boss he mentions has ended his PREVIOUS run. Every boss is the previous run killer. 😂

I hate using the hotbar as well, I have larger hands but I can’t focus on WASD and the hotbar. But, I prefer scrolling actually. My mouse has a scroll wheel that is fairly accurate and I can feel it bump with each individual scroll-click.
Same. I play a lot of combat games and always used scroll wheel. I can easily and accurately scroll to wherever i need without even needing to look at the hotbar. That of course means i know my mouse well and i have wasted absolutely too much time on the games... maybe using buttons for specific slots would be faster, but no. I refuse.

I absolutely refuse to use keyboard or switch my mouse into the discrete clicky scroll mode, so over my thousands of hours of wasting my life on games I've gotten insanely good at judging where I need to scroll to. When I found out my mouse was discontinued I almost cried because I know it so well and it's so perfect for me but I also know I'll need to replace it someday. If I ever use someone else's computer I always try to use my side button macros even if they don't have any buttons on their mouse lol. What mouse do you use?
My logic is I cant watch a 50 minute video that ive been meaning to watch for a week but I can watch 2+hrs long of seanie
The fact that CA is part of the game community is wholesome
He once said on a stream a few years ago that when he made Stardew it was originally meant to be him making a game for himself, something he'd want to play as he loved Harvest Moon. The fact is blew up like it did... well, that was just luck. But he does genuinely play his own game. That's more than can be said for like 90% of devs.

If clay farming is not considered dishonorable, then sneakily shooting ores while dodging fireballs from a distance is absolutely fair game. It's a perfect example of brains over brawns.
(and it's amazing how versatile SV is. This heart-attack inducing mod is for the same game where I relax at the end of the working day by planting sunflowers and placing goofy hats on my virtual hat rack kids)
Hearing "builds" in Stardew it just feels nice, I love this mod wish I could try it

If a weapon is in the game to be used, I don't think it's cheesed bc you, you know, USE IT. Play smarter, not harder, and leave all the game bros crying bc you used a slingshot not a close contact dagger crying bc they still haven't beaten it
The Supreme Calamitas song is so fitting for that final boss... It literally has the same attack patterns...
Are we just gonna ignore the fact that the music that was playing when he was fighting Chotto was the same music that plays when you are on your way to the ruins where you fight Dark Pit for the first time during Kid Icarus: Uprising? Made me love this channel even more!
