in any case, you can tell these two get along really well, or at least are good at following each other's humor. i was pleasantly surprised by this interview.. i've been watching several unscripted videos and they've haven't been as loose and candid, even with comedic actors. this was fun! :)
I wouldn't underestimate Jonah's acting skills. This guy is a good actor. He showed another level in " Cyrus ". Lots of really good actors started in doing unserious films. Bill Murray, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, etc..

Mr & Mrs Smith might not be his best movie, but there are other factors to consider. It's not that strange that he would pick it when you think about it.
For starters, like he said, he literally did kick a lot of ass in it.
The movie looked like it was a lot of fun to work on, regardless of what you may think of it.
He also got to work with a talented director, doing what he does best - action.
And let's not forget that it's the movie where he met his wife, which is probably the major thing he was referencing when he said it changed his life.

He met his current wife but was still married to Jennifer Aniston during the entire filming. Sooooo....
Either way, he met the woman he would end up marrying and having kids with later. He still got to know her during the shoot.

For me growing up, all you'd hear about Brad Pitt was that he was the most attractive man on earth.
You'd think "Well it's an unfortunate name for a guy to have. Brad is a bit of an American stereotype, and Pitt. Like armpit? It's not exactly great, is it?"
But remember, that's just how you spoke when you were 7 (with that exact vocabulary and eloquence, obviously.) Then you'd get older and you'd see his smaller roles like Snatch and The Big Short, his larger roles like Inglorious Basterds and Ocean's Eleven, and many many more.
Then you realize that he truly is one of the greatest actors in our generation. His range is unparalleled.

Brad isn't boring. He was probably tired from doing non stop interviews and press for this movie. And it may have come across that he was insulting Jonah but they've both mentioned how close they really are as buddies. So in that aspect, they are probably comfortable goofing off and insulting each other.
