- After a week of heavy rain up in Scotland and not being able to leave the can for days on end, I'd really started to struggle with Van Life.
Although living on the road does come with so many amazing benefits, and it's truly a lifestyle that we love, it does come with its downfalls also. So whilst Angharad was away for the weekend, I took the opportunity to escape back into nature, to explore the Galloway Forest Park, as we continue to showcase the very best of van life uk.
You also may have noticed that this weeks video is slightly different to normal, as I try and put a lot more effort into making true cinematic travel films, and really improve on my travel videography to tell better stories of the places we visit.

We're Jamie & Angharad, a young van life couple from the UK. We spent the first 5 months of 2023 self converting our own home on wheels, to do van life full time. We're currently travelling the UK and it's really proven to us that van life uk really isn't as bad as people make out.

It’s been a wet old autumn, winter mate all over the UK. Yorkshire has had 10x more rain fall in the past 12 months than previous. Think more and more rain is becoming the norm. But it is due to dry up this week for a good few days so not all gloom and doom. And as for any rain, get some good quality waterproofs and the rain is then not really that bad.
It's been awful mate hasn't it 😂 Just my luck that the weather picks up on the week I've stopped to get a could of weeks work 😂
Weather should improve by the weekend. Hope it lifts your spirits.
This was 2 weeks back luckily mate, so we're back in Wales now and in the sun 😂

We don't really take it anywhere that will need them tbf. Only maybe a few short tracks here and there.
