Happy when together, it was fun. Parting, a torture.

Very much still in a love filled with youth’s infatuation and fascination.
君应有语 渺万里层云
Martyrdom goose said: Within tens of thousands piles of hazy clouds,
千山暮雪 只影向谁去
thousands of snow covered mountains at dusk, my lone shadow was flying towards whom?
横汾路, 寂寞当年箫鼓
At Heng-fen Road, lonely, reminiscing the flute and drums back in those days.
荒烟依旧平楚
Masses of wild smoke remained spread out as before.
招魂楚些何嗟及
Recalling the spirit of the dead was painful and sad.
山鬼暗啼风雨
Mountain ghost’s cries mingled in the wind and rain.
天也妒 未信与
Even the Heaven was jealous. Unbelievable.
莺儿燕子具黄土
Warbler & swallow were all yellow dust.
千秋万古
Forever
为留待骚人
live on in the poet’s

It's also my favourite song from Zhou Shen in 2020. His voice was so beautiful and fitted perfecly for the composition. But the most amazing part was the poetic lyrics from 摸鱼儿·雁丘词 by Yuan Haowen. 古词 is not like 诗poem, and also different from many poems in UK. In China, 古词 should be considered as the lyrics of ancient songs, to be sang with 曲 in different ways. But relatively easier than 曲 to be inherited by simply writting down in words. So there're quite a lot of 古词 that nowadays no one knows how to sing. Many researchers are trying to rescue those lost 曲. This show was acturally to show the public, especially the younger generation the beauty of 古词 by singing in a relative modern way, together with novel compositions and arrangement.
Cool videos! I think you might missed the other two songs in the show. One in Russian and the other one in Ukrainian. They're short clicps but worth to listen as well.

this song Heavenly Beautiful.
PERFECT AND BRAVO!
There are a few important factors that made this song sound perfect.
1. The sound of the 3000 year old
Chinese chimes that was the very
highlight in the orchestra.
2. Zhoushen used his normal
rich low voice, adding
slight Chinese opera
pitch and tone to his singing
that made it sounded truly
Chinese Literature poem.
3. His vocalised part though
short but very prominent
that made this song sounded
heavenly.
