Evening Nomonde. Love the skirt. Please can you tell us how the belt works.. Does one belt piece feed through a hole in the seam of the skirt at the waist?
Hi there, yes the 15 centimeters should work for everyone for this pattern but I always advise that you test the pattern first, you can just do the top part of the skirt and see if you like how it overlaps.
Hi there, to be honest it is not easy with my machine because if I put the stitch length at 4 I still struggle to pull the thread.... the thread is usually still tight. Sometimes I try and loosen the tension but still that does not work so great...so all in all I just force it and pull the thread gently or I just hand stitch. When I buy my next machine I will make sure that I choose one with a wide or long stitch length.
So for settings if you have my machine, you are suppose to turn the knob with numbers below the hand wheel and put it to number 4 which is the widest stitch length....so that is the setting that is not working for me.

I have shown quite a lot of the gathering process that is why I thought it was not important to show it on this video. Even the dress that is showing on top of the channel is a gathered dress.
Nice skirt, there is a skirt pattern just like the tshikiza but the skirt from the gathered part it's pleated ! Can you do that skirt for us pliz ndiyazicelela !the top part is just done like simple skirt

Hi there, when you want to make gathers you need extra material so that you can have your gathers... so by multiplying by 1.5 I am adding half the material of the original measurement, this is for fine small gathers like the one on this video. If you check the gathered skirt before this one I multiplied by 2 (doubled the measurement) because I wanted a bit full gathers. So you can go on and multiply 3 if you want a fuller look
