In my opinion he is being made an example of to prevent anyone else coming forward and whistle blowing in the future. The longer this goes on, all the better for the maniacs trying to silence the truth.

Australia is not much more than a Vassal State beholding to the US.
Trump should never have placed any 'trust' in Pompeo.
The Biden Whitehouse is playing the Long Game.
They do not want Assange back now causing a problem
in the run up to the 2024 Election, so if they can
Rig the Vote again and Biden is somehow re-elected then will be
when they will make all the promises in the World to
      Extradite Assange.
And as soon as Assange's feet touch US soil they will bring a whole new
raft of Charges that are not covered by the Assurances they
give in the UK High Court.

An Apt comment from another :
On December 8, 1967, Senator J. William Fulbright gave a speech on the floor of the Senate. The subject was the Vietnam War.
The prior month, on November 17, LBJ held a press conference in which he said, amongst other things, the following regarding the governments attitude towards dissent IRT the war in SE Asia:
"We don't stop the publication of any papers. We don't fine anyone for something they say....."
Fulbright in his Senate remarks responded with the following:
"I should like to make it clear that I am not the slightest bit grateful to the administration for my freedom of speech. That freedom is an inalienable right which the American people reserved to themselves when they established a constitutional government. It is not the people's freedom which is a gift from their Government, but the Government's authority which is a gift from the people, a retractable trust to be discharged at their pleasure. When the Government abstains from suppressing dissent, it is doing nothing more than complying with one of the explicit conditions of its constitutional trust. That is not a thing for which gratitude is owed."
It is inconceivable that ANY member of the Congress would be capable of saying anything even remotely like this today!

Julian should ditch is barristers and appeal himself against his UNLAWFUL imprisonment. It's unlawful because it is against the constitutional Bill of Rights Act 1688 which states that no one shall be imprisoned without a trial. He is now being LEGALLY imprisoned at the request of America. Most people do not understand that any legal process which is unlawful is voided. His barristers dare not use this because their first sworn duty is to the court not to the client that employs them.

The interesting thing is, is that more often than not, when you remove the top of an organisation, whether it be illicit, military, government or activists, you take 1 out of the picture and another one or more come into their place.
Removing Assange won't remove people's desire for the truth.
They also know it's better the devil you know than the devil you don't.
They are just hoping all this unlawful action against him will put others off, but it won't.

It seems rather obvious to me that incarcerating someone for the rest of their life would be more than a bit off putting for potential whistleblowers worldwide for years to come.
One thing is at least for sure. Whether or not the USA gets its hands on Julian Assange, his glowing international reputation and service to people everywhere, and likewise the shame brought on the USA government for their reaction to their many war crimes being publicly exposed, will last for a lot longer than 175 years.

    • @jamm8284
      @jamm8284 Před 23 dny

@@reasontruthandlogic although I agree there will be a majority that are put off, I still feel there will always be people who believe putting their lives on the line is worth it, again from illicit activity or even a journalist in Gaza or Lebanon, whether it be for money, notoriety or morals, there will be people willing to risk their lives.
Chelsea Manning had it all done to them and people were still whistleblowing.
And similar to the uni protests, it gained traction mostly because of the silencing and actions taken against students, being fully aware that consequences, that they believe to be unjust, are a strong possibility, only motivated people to speak out more.
