This is so awesome. There's always been such a stigma about talking about mental health, especially for me. But people watching this may just think, if Jeff Emig can talk about going through tough times, maybe I can too.

I remember Jeff's stuttering when I'd interview him for events I covered for MotoWorld. I always patiently worked with him the best I could to get the best interview from him. Glad to see he's overcome that.

Great series! Watched Ricky’s episode too and so amazing. I never reached your level, Jeff, but was deeply in MX in CA and then moto journalism through 1987. Holy cow when it all ended I went through years of withdrawal. Life is good now, but you guys offering your insights makes it better for everyone who’s raced, loved it, misses it, etc. Highs and Lows….makes life rich and textured, but can bring you down without a helping hand, a voice, a friend. Thank you!!!

Lots of motocross racers that have any amount of success for years, weather local or on the big stage, have problems adjusting to just " normal life" and live happily ever after.
Winning and envisioning winning is easy. Lots of tools to help you do that mentally, but few tools to do that after your done.
Simply amazed at how many pros and good amateur riders that have trouble bridging racing into normal life.
    Thanks for sharing

Its so uplifting to know how much you overcame and where you made it to, I never would have known hearing you speak so fluently and coherently today in broadcasting. Thanks man!

Great video and insite on the behind the scenes effects of racing. The struggle and pain is real and this definitely needs to be addressed!.These kids start so young about how to win but not how to live a normal life with out the racing and just thinking about winning. Life is short and racing is even shorter! Thanks for stepping up and putting it out there. Great job! Great series thank you!
