I've been a bachelor once; I couldn't help but have to write this out. Most folks I've shared tenancy with, people had living conditions that were absolutely disgusting. The amount of filth and clutter was revolting, as if nobody had taught them the value of disciplined living. And don't even get me started on the lack of hygiene! Or Invasion of privacy while bringing a woman around. Have the decency to go rent an OYO, I know I did it! Dirty dishes piled up in the sink, overflowing garbage cans, and visibly dirty surfaces - it's a breeding ground for bacteria and disease. I can't imagine how the people living in this environment aren't constantly sick (mentally as well). It's truly mind-boggling. This video is a stark reminder of why bachelors aren't welcome in the Indian society. Because of these few low-living fools, we people suffered. I now have my own property, and while I rent it, I do a 1:1 with the students, hand them an agreement, checklists and consequences about the dangers of not maintaining the property, but most importantly, teach them how to live like civilized people! Change comes from us.
You cannot control people's lives by putting conditions. You have no right to put restrictions on what a person can do or not. If you expect people to keep your house as it is then for what purpose he is paying rent. Rent is the charge he is paying for using and depreciating your house

u hit the bulls eye. i am a landlord. i was keeping batchloers. yes money is there but headche is also there. batchloers want to live in posh peaceful Society but they self create nuisance. i seen very few batchloers who are peaceful and sober. all society are banning batchloers now so new type of areas are getting develop near by IT companies called pg gallies. this infra is dedicated for batchloers but these areas are most of time dirty and very shady area. female pgs are little clean but male pgs condition are horrible. female pgs are less number. i also felt bad that i evacuated my batchloers due to Society request but yes batchloers and married people coliving is difficult.
If its an empty unfurnished flat only then give to bachelors otherwise ghar ki aisi taisi kar denge.In our building, makaan malik jo sirf rental income kha rahe hai, woh bhi seepage or leak ka kam nahi karwatey on time just because they don’t live there. Eventually seepage finds ways to flats below.

My family is more happy keeping job wala boys than to have another lady at home. My wife is not comfortable as the ladies tend to waste a lot of time in gossip. I have seen bachelors and live in partners renting apartments in UAE and there is no issue about anything by anyone and it’s just peace around why such issues arise in India and Indian subcontinent only? People must learn to behave themselves and that’s all about it.

I'm a single bachelor and paying 50% of monthly income in rent, utilities and maintenance alone just because I didn't want to live in flats which were rented to bachelor's previously. These flats are very dirty and no amount of cleaning can make them look good for my expectations of living standards. It took me a lot of work to convince owners to let me live here. I don't bring anyone over except friends for a few minutes. No drinking, no smoking. Daily brooming and weekly sweeping. Now people in society actually talk with me after seeing I'm not living rashly. In the beginning they were suspicious haha.

this is against law; societies shouldn't impose such rules. You gave example of Gujarat where non-veg and alcohol is prohibited. Can you impose the same rule nationwide Mumbai, Bangalore or Kerala? its is upto the Landlord's discretion whom they want to rent it out, if there is any illegal activity Society can complain to Police.
