I also have the Uplift Commercial Grade 4 Leg Sit/Stand Desk.. with Butcher Block top... I really love the quality and stability of it.. Was expensive but well work it, its a tank, literally I got the 80x30 so its massive but love all the space. Also drew a lot of inspiration from this setup as I continue to build out my dark mode setup with Black/walnut color scheme with white/silver accents.

now, I have just found your channel (and subbed right away). you (and your friend) should put that desk into production AND, if viable, patent all you can about it... I am tired of amazing desk taht suck at cable management or amazing cable management that fail miserably at being a desk... well done sir, very well done!

Agreed. Good speakers are a must. Mine aren't as fancy but I'm using Polk Reserve R100 as my desktop speakers. Their sound suits me extremely well. Maybe I'll go with the small KEFs if I want something a bit smaller.
Same, I found it crazy how many people cheap on audio.
Mine is probably a bit crazier because I isolated them with a floor stand and they're a couple of 3 way speakers (Wharfedale Evo 4.2).
Even worse when they buy like 3-5k TVs and they buy a soundbar.

Great vid! I opened the same Grovemade desk pad for a couple years. While I liked how it looked initially, it began to show its age fairly quickly. I also had a custom desk top made, so I didn’t like that it was covering up that beautiful grain. I also didn’t like how my mouse felt on the deskpad - gritty (no matter how’s much I cleaned) and certainly not buttery smooth. So I tossed the Grovemade and ordered an Artisan mouse pad. I can’t speak highly enough about the pad, and I love having more of my desktop back.
Those KEF speakers might look small but they sound so big. Great speakers.

Ultrawideo is an amazing chromium extention that will properly scale video on ultrawides without cropping out any detail of a video! i highly suggest that its a huge qol upgrade and i cant go back after using it! other than that i love the setup!
ever thought of wall mounting the monitor? got my 75 inch 4k tv as my laptops monitor set to display 1 windows setting then you more or less have a desktop without the tower

A common mistake
@jessechen can you please share what brand magnetic cable snack you're using and if you were to buy one again, would you buy the same one or explore a different brand/model? I see a few different brands on Amazon so curious which one you're using and how happy you are with it.
I recommend the Atlas headrest for the embody chair. Also I might have to scoop up that Tesla charger. Our setup is similar except I have the Ark Gen 2.
Omg - "buy cheap by twice" - Legendary. Started off on this set up journey while back and cheaped out on everything looked nice but kept breaking or didnt work as expected. Just wait the extra time and pay the money. But that is the best saying.
Very nice video. I have the CalDigit TS3 (I think) and it's been fantastic. When I bought my M1 MacBook Air, I wasn't really stoked about dropping a huge chunk of change on a dock, but it's been SO WORTH IT.
I also have one of the Grovemade matte desk pads, and I can't believe how much I like the thing. I've always been a soft cloth mousepad kind of guy, but thought I would try something different. I originally had their felt pad and just didn't enjoy the texture. The matte pad is just great though. Definitely the unsung hero of my desktop.

That was actually the correct amount of detail I wanted to know.
36 inch depth on the desk is was I did too. 78X36, however I ended up feeling too far away from everything (innocn 401C 40 inch flat 1440p) ended up cutting it to 32 and a half on the depth and now its perfect. Nice set up, what do you think about the Kwumsy K3 keyboard? it has a built in touch screen you can use on it, I think youd be able to get rid of your tablet. it is also hotswapable, AND has 4 USB AND has a NVME slot on it. Check it out, its 386 but I got mine on sale for 300, tell us if its "desk worthy". im interesting in your insight on this....rather odd keyboard screen dock..thing.
If you want the same 80x35in desk you can order or pick up a blank solid core door from Home Depot. Pick your stain and your legs and now you have a massive and very strong desk.

Hi, how does the monitor handle scaling with the Mac, is text ok? With regards to photos, is adequate for photoshop. Looking at doing pretty much the same thing regarding photos. Looking to purchase the Mac mini studio m3 when it launches.

Looks nice. Seems like the whole sit stand thing is a little old. Realistically, how often do you actually change your workspace elevation? I have an Uplift as well, super high quality frame and movement but if I'm honest, I rarely use it.
Checkout uplift light bar, 32 inch sliding one…. It doesn’t attach to monitor, it has a desk clamp and is very bright
im rocking dual 42" lg c2's the seem is not perfect but not bad either.

how did you connect your speakers? is there an audio interface or an option to connect to the calldigit
What stand do you use for the iPad? I like the lower profile it gives you. All of the ones I can find don't seem to give me that option.
Are you using a MB Pro? If so what series, M1/M2/M3? Just wanted to know how you get full resolution on the display if using M1, since I guess that would require two cables and PBP mode on the monitor.

Have you a link for the casters? Also I was wondering whats the best standing desk on a budget under €400? I dont have a table top at the moment either so its probably better get the top with the legs rather than buying them seperately as im sure it would work out cheaper that way. The size Im after is approx 80cm by 160cm.
Does the dock allow you the full resolution and 240 Hz refresh of the monitor?

But the problem is that i need to use two printers. Both are big. With that it is very difficult to get a neat and clean setup.
do you find that the crossmember right below the desk top effects how your legs fit under the desk? This has been the only issue that I have read about with the 4 legged desk, When you try to slide under the desk. That crossmember hits the top of your thighs>

Yeah when i saw that hexcal (costing about my entire pc)in the thumbnail i know its something.
I love this setup! One thing I'd love you to review is the Alienware 3225QF as a possible replacement for my dual monitors. I love glossy screens but finding a OLED 4K+ monitor for both gaming and productivity has been tricky. I think the higher pixel density of smaller screens for productivity and media but also still want to be able to game casually. Let me know what you think!
Also that is a sickk keyboard. Any tips on how to set it up? I was messing around on IQUNIX Super Zonex 75 - Especially the rose goal and aluminum key tabs but wasn't quite sure if i was doing it right.
