No, no one forgets John Deacon if you're an avid Queen fan as they make the band and not the band made them like how people said "Freddie is the boss of the band" when they clearly did not know that that role falls down to Brian May and everyone in the band are extremely great lyricist.

you forgot the fact that roger taylor wanted his song "i'm in love with my car" ( which is one of my favorite songs of queen) on the album a night at the opera and he locked himself in a cupboard until everyone agreed to put it on the album
I'm questioning USA's taste of music because it took 5 albums for queen to reach number 1. And bohemian rhapsody never even reach no. 1 in the US. Like how come?
As an American, I can say I'm appalled. Queen is the greatest!

Fun Fact:
The girlfriend of Freddie was soo close to him even after breaking up that Freddie became her child's godfather when she got married to someone else and upon deathbed from his suffering of AIDS, he even willed his estate and fortune to his ex-girlfriend showing that he had always loved the girl despite his personal sexual experiences.
Another Fun Fact:
The 1985 Live Aid was a sheer luck chance that May got and thanks to Freddie's intelligence, they got the biggest break in all musical history. May received a letter and a call from Bob Geldof to play at Live Aid. May had wanted to play at it regardless of the outcome as everyone in the band knew that despite gaining a few chart hits in the US, they ain't famous enough there. When Freddie walked into the studio after a glass of whiskey and overheard May explaining to Deacon and Roger what he had just received, Freddie instantly shot down May and said that the band is famous as it is and there's no need for such a time consuming publicity stunt (He actually wanted to go but Freddie as Freddie is, he's putting up a solid front). May pleaded with Freddie and Freddie released an ultimatum that if they were to play, they'll get the ultimate prime time of 6:30pm UK time which just nice is about 2pm in the US which meant that by that time, everyone was having dinner in the UK while watching TV and the US are having lunch (TV Dinners were a rave back then. Everyone eats them daily). With May relaying the message back to Geldof, Geldof was at first reluctant to cave in but then realized just how big Queen was in the UK and he needed that publicity stunt on his own front too, agreed to Freddie's request and thank god he did because Queen got one of the longest play time at Wembly Stadium and one of the best displays of music history ever.
Her name is Mary Austin.
so thats why when you see the clock backstage during their Live Aid performance, the time was around 630 or 645pm
Another fun fact: their manager at the time made sure they were the loudest band to play in Live AID and Jim Hutton, Freddie's partner at the time of his death, also had gotten AIDS and he didn't tell Freddie as soon as he was diagnosed because Freddie had already been diagnosed and he didn't want to worry Freddie. When Freddie was diagnosed, he told Jim that he'd understand if he left him because of the AIDS and Jim said he wasn't going anywhere and stayed by his side. Mary had gotten the house because, even though Jim was still alive by Freddie's death, he had been diagnosed with the disease and there wasn't a known cure so he was expected to die. Freddie realized this and gave the house to Mary, his only true friend, because he loved her and wanted her and her son to have a good life. Freddie promised Jim and three of his friends that took care of him as he was deteriorating that he was giving the house to Mary but they could still live there after he died, but Mary kicked them out and kept their belongings that they owned. Mary was said to be one of the only people that knew Jim that didn't like him and it was because she was jealous that Freddie wanted to be with him and not her.

mentioned anywhere that Hutton can live in Freddie's house with his friends for the rest of his life. The house was bequeathed ONLY to Mary who had two children with her. Mary was a beneficiary of Freddie's will and the executors had control of everything and to let his will progress through probate, it was felt that Garden Lodge could not have tenants living there. Hutton was a little bitter in his book about this and maybe they could have communicated better over this but those misunderstandings are natural when everybody is grieving.

Alexandria Holeman I mean, Mary was basically the love of his life and his best friend, but Jim was his partner up until he died. Which means he probably loved Jim very much as well. (correct me if im wrong)
Alexandria Holeman yeah I heard that.... After seeing the movie (which sparked my interest in learning more about Queen and Freddie Mercury) Freddie and Mary's love story was the best love story ive ever heard, I mean it still is. Because even though they werent actually together, they loved each other more than anything. Jim is cool too though. I'm glad Freddie found somebody to be with. I just wish i knew more about him.
Edit: yeah I just watched a video, and Freddie loved Jim very much. Theres was another relationship in which Freddie loved this person very much, but I totally forgot his name. Whoops. There was other relationships he had, but they werent as strong as those three. At least thats what the video said. If you wanted, I could give you a link. But only if youre interested lol.

I never played their music but I certainly didn't mind it if my mum played it or it came on the radio. The movie just kind of gave me a new passion for it, as it has done for thousands of other people like me. I don't think we should be shaming others for not being in love with it for their entire bloody lives, seems a bit stupid

They were never married. They were just, you know, together
BlueDiamond 1818 yes, but as it was illegal for them to be married legally in the 80s, the fact that Freddie called him his husband should be enough for us to count him as such. That’s the closest they could get, and they exchanged rings as well.

Back in 1997 I made a single-length(about 3 & 1/2 minutes) re-edit of the first minute & 28 seconds of "Princes Of The Universe" with the first 2 verses & chorus of "Gimme The Prize"(from 40 seconds in through to 1 minute & 53 seconds), and the final verse & ending of "Gimme The Prize"(from 3 minutes & 27 seconds through to 4 minutes & 17 seconds, with a fade-out as Christopher Lambert is saying "There Can Be Only One", and cut-off before the explosion sound effects), which is not only my all-time favorite song by Queen, but also my absolute favorite song EVER!

102 fact. During the recording of "The show must go on," Mercury was so ill that May didn't want him to continue. Mercury responded by downing some vodka stating "I'll fucking do it, darling!" And sang the whole song in one take.
Show must go on was not sang in one take. i dont know where this myth is coming from but its not true you can hear clearly that it wasnt made in one take.
