- To celebrate the launch of Astroneer's 1.0 version on February 6th 2019, we live streamed this video on Twitch.
We gutted an Xbox one X and turned it into a payload to send up into the stratosphere via weather balloon, equipped with two cameras, an onboard tracking system, and a small computer to record data!
We assumed the extra battery and hand warmers would keep the cameras alive for the entire trip, but the extreme cold chewed through most of the onboard power and we didn't get the entire descent. A shorter version of this video was aired on Inside Xbox: • Astroneer Rides an Xbo... - Hry

I'm playing this game for years I started when you could pick up power and oxygen off the ground
Oohh, there were an unlimited number of oxygen in a certain oleces, sources
I was challenging myself for explore caves only picking up oxygen off the ground. No other oxygen supply.
I played when astroneer removed storms and those ores but I was watching before when those dam cables where *HUGE*

This calculates to 12.84 feet per second on average. Ascent time of 8,461 seconds.
I remember when i bought this game five years ago. Those memories from alpha, your first launch into atmosphere and traveling, so exciting. Now it has grown so much that I ll download it today again ✨

Don't worry, the shuttle is an event exclusive xbox themed shuttle. He can't run out of oxygen.

If you are wondering, the maximum height was 108645 feet (33115 meters) at 2:49:18. Hope this info will be useful

I’m not going to lie to ya system era, I didn’t watch the whole thing but I think I get the point!
I’m curious
What would it be like if there was a combat system
I had an idea where there would be a combat type upgrade where you put it on the vac and it would turn into a type of blaster with the different types of parts such as a pellet cap that shoots like a minigun and uses energy as ammo, soil cap that shoots small chunks of dirt, beam cap that has it shoot like a laser and it uses energy
But these would be obtained with an item from new types of bosses called giga plants which would need a certain way of killing them
The way to make them spawn is with a new crafting station that makes giga seeds with 1 soil 1 seed and 4 of the scannable plant (has to be the same plant and scannable seed)
After put fertilizer on the giga seed to grow it and spawn it in
(Fertilizer = 1 soil 2 organic)
The boss would look and act like what the seed it’s from here’s an example
Thistle worm
Made from a giga thistlewhip seed
Since the plant looks like a kind of worm head the boss would be a worm
It’s weak spots would be marks on its section and beating it gives you the thistle core as a crafting item for a dril extension that allows you to bite the ground and turn it into oxygen or energy and beating a boss it gives you a color pallet of the plant and a hat or mask of the plant
I also though of an extra secret boss which is in a massive hole on Sylvia. The boss would be a large deactivated robot that needs parts from each planet to repair a part
After all parts are put on a remote will drop
Use the remote and the boss will reawaken
Beating him drops a notepad that explains what he is and how he got there
He will also drop the beam cap for the vac
Beating the secret boss will reward you with a pallet called broken which gives the suit an old scrap like look
Scrap suit which is a suit that is a robot made of broken parts like a wheel for a foot and a robotic claw for the empty hand
Note this is just an idea

I discovered an extremely rare glitch today and it’s something to do with the field shelter basically you need to manage to squish so many of them into a concentrated area that one of them shoots up out of the middle and the powerline literally does not disconnect no matter how far away it is and basically that means you can have a powerline going to an entirely different planet
First… this is awesome, second I thought the Astroneer space person was gong to fall off the whole time. 🤣
Przekroczyliście 33 km. Do kosmosu jeszcze kawałek ale i tak całkiem sporo. Szkoda że nie wypuściliście kamer z w pełni naładowanymi bateriami i nie zabezpieczyliście termicznie. Kiedy następny start? :)

Astroneer is a really good game not sure why people aren't playing it more. I am still trying to make a bigger shuttle even though I can fit more the a 192 stuff in there just want one we're I can walk and move around. that would be cool but what would be even cooler is first person it's hard to see in tight spaces.
