  • In this last part of our 5-part video series, Stephan is ready to apply carbon fiber to the mold he's made to make his part (A bike seat for his motorcycle). Stephan does his carbon fiber layup making a special herringbone pattern with the fabric weave for a super slick looking part, once completed. The finished part with a clear coat over the piece, looks really great and with the technique shown in this 5-part video series, it's easy to make a mold for just about any part you might need to create.

    wow! but hey do you ever use a respirator and also a dust mask??? the epoxy primer most likely has isocyanates and a 3m paint respirator will not filter them out, I'm sure the other chemicals are terrible too...

    What was the "coat of clear" you put over it when it was finished?

    what about epoxy gelcoat & epoxy resin instead of polyester?

    hi these videos are the best on here on how to make a fibreglass mould I am interested to know why you made the with such a big lump at the front as it looks like it ended up in the bin. thanks
