Regretting getting my a+. 2 years ago I passed 220-1001 and 1002. I've been applying everywhere, at indeed, trying to network at LinkedIn, and anything else I can think of. I have had zero responses. I even have a friend who is a hiring manager at a popular, growing startup web design app company help me with my resume. It's like employers don't want to pay above minimum wage for someone with only one basic cert.
Still working retail since like 2006 at $16.50/hr.
    Maybe I need your course.

@@KevtechITSupportdo you mean remote or to relocate?
I have not been looking for anything remote and I am unable to consider relocating at the moment. I'm in Central FL, you'd think there would be plenty of work here.

Remote jobs. You should be applying to both onsite and remote.

@@sumdood2035 Wow I'm in Central Florida was well. I started Applying for job in October 2022 since then I've only worked a temporary I.T job which was last year.

Remote sounds great and it is -BUT you are on an island with no resources sometimes. This means you may diagnose things that are not part of your scope of responsibility which leans towards them needing someone with more experience. For example, while working remote and you have access to active directory because your profile and user access allows it and you notice a string of user issues are from improperly setup accounts by the business you may need the experience to be able to identify that issue --even though its not your job to deal with AD. That may not be your job but they would thank you for noticing this and bringing this to light. You will ALWAYS have something tossed in your face that's not part of your job and experience give you the ability to say 'No" Professionally or say "No' for security reasons and offer the reasons why or direct them to the correct resources with a ticket. Just remember VERYONE started out like you and it will not take you long to catch up with everyone.. Good Luck my friend
