ROTC creates a schedule that allows students to have time to be regular students! We start early in the morning and it’s 3 days a week. Plenty of us are STEM/honors or apart of Greek life or even athletes. Overall, the program is built around college life.
No. ROTC does not require us to go to BMT. BMT is only for the enlisted route. Officers commission through ROTC, OTS, or the Academy - none of which go to BMT. However, each source has their own version mini version of "BMT" just because everyone needs to know the basics. For ROTC we have Field Training (another YT video of mine). It's sort of like BMT but not really because you are being evaluated, not taught. Field Training is a 2 week summer training at Maxwell AFB. It's the only summer we have to do ROTC. Every other summer we have to ourselves because ROTC operates in Fall and Spring only.

Do know of anyone who is doing a 2 year rotc program? Currently have a bachelor’s and looking to get my masters.
We usually do 2.5 years but yes! We have masters candidates in the program as well! You can call any detachment for more details :))

When do you take and how difficult was the AFOQT ?
Hi, you take it within the first two years and it depends if you’re a good test taker or not.
