Thx for the tutorial and the timestamps
Great tutorial man, thanks!
👍 excellent actualization + SSD Sata
Excellent?.Pointless, put in a SSD just for 32 GB extra is a waste of money.much better if he had put a 256 0r 500GB SSD or with not so fast cpu a good HDD or hybird SHDD 500 GB to 1TB and could have been done from windows pc management meny where disk/storage partition changes can be made and you get a help labels that tells you what you are about to do.
perfect thank you
love you bro
thnx bro juste continue like that
Do you own one of these laptops? What vid should I make next?

hello
I have a laptop acer aspire e11 es-131-c10x is it possible to add a SSD and make it a basic disk, that is, install the system windows instead of a emmc?
I migrated from 64gb emmc to a ssd 1tb is it possible to go back to emmc I tried to go back but it failed
Kind of the only thing I can do is possibly copy everything from pc to sd card
I just want to ask that if I do that, it is will automatically reformat the hdd or ssd also??
Yes, your disk will be reformated.
is it possible to upgrade an uncapable upgrade emmc notebook like Toshiba Satellite CL15T-B1204X by this method? TIA
Does laptop have empty ssd or hdd slot? If yes, then you should be ok upgrading it.
@@Michael-kg5fi there’s no slot for ssd, for my toshiba satellite notebook. Is there any advice from you bro?
@@muhammadidris4736 I checked images of you laptop. Are you sure that there is no available slot for drive?
You didn't convert Windows back to UEFI after it was installed. Also, Windows can install in UEFI mode, meaning you don't have to go into your BIOS and change anything.
Ok, maybe yes. This is way I found that work in my case. I didn't try install again after successful boot. Thanks.
@@Michael-kg5fi Sorry if I sounded a bit rude there, having a bad day. Oh, I also wouldn't set eMMC as the final boot device if you don't plan to boot from USB or network boot often. Just mash F12 for boot menu on these cheap Acers.
@@LBSiUK it's ok, nice to see discussion. Btw, how did you see this video? Do you have laptop with emmc memory yourself?
@@Michael-kg5fi I got insanely bored and decided to look at videos of people changing computers with eMMC to SSDs, and seeing the speed difference. I did temporarily borrow an Acer (similar to your one) with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC, before upgrading it to 4GB of RAM and giving it back to my friend. He upgraded the eMMC to a 256GB SSD.
Sir please Help Me. I DonT Have ssd socket on My Toshiba sattelite
i can send You a Picture Of My laptop Motherboard.i Mean iT is Notebook OnLy
Sorry to hear that, unfortunately I can't help you.
This is for an ACER.
What about for Lenovos?
I don't have an extra hard drive slot, so a rep told me I'd need to put in an "SSD mounting bracket" to then fit in a M.2 NVMe SSD drive.
But a tech told me that my Lenovo wouldn't benefit much from that due to something called an "adaptor".
I don't have the money to replace my whole laptop, even if cheap & used. Please advise? YT vids don't seem to have anything on this, even now 4 years after yours.
This is five years ago
@@kapilsds7 I ended up finding out that the Lenovo rep was wrong. My specific laptop (even though the rep knew which it was) doesn't allow for any internal upgrades.
@@independentaquaman7424 do you have only emmc soldered storage memory .
Is there any difference in speed after installing the windows on ssd? Or laptop was faster on emmc? Is booting time decreased?
Yes, there is, with ssd you get much faster load time. The delay is only few seconds when it tries to bypass emmc memory, but overall it is very fast

Can we upgrade emmc 32gb to ssd or hhd on acer aspire es11 es1-132-c4xy
Hey, if you have slot available then yes, you can.
Hi, great video but does the message shows every time i boot on my pc?
Maybe yes, I don't know for sure. I made this video 3 years ago.. (:
@@Michael-kg5fi ok dont worry and thanks for the fast answer!
@@mrsworder Actually i think it does shows but its only for few seconds. (:
@@Michael-kg5fi I discovered how to remove the message after starting the pc.
For anyone who wants to remove it heres how:
1) Enter bios by pressing F2 during booting it
2) go to boot
3) change from legacy to uefi
Hope this can help someone
Can my Acer aspire 1 lap
4ram 32 storage only
Can I increase the storage in this model..?
Probably with SSD only. EMMC is soldered. I dont know internals of this model so i cant tell you for sure. Thanks.
If it has usb 3.0 use a external 2.5 inch SSD.it will give the same speed as the drive inside.if you google your model you can find out if it has place inside for a optical disk drive or SSD HHD or SHHD
Is this possible on hp steam 14 ,32gb emmc,4 gb ram
I dont know about that model, if you can put ssd then probably yes
iball campbook m500 h ow to upgrade 32 GB EMMC memory to SSD or HDD | install windows 10 on internal hdd/ssd ??????
If you have space then yes, you can upgrade
any noticeable improvement in performance going from emmc to ssd ?
Yes, SSD is much faster than emmc therefore load times should go down.
@@Michael-kg5fi yes on paper it is faster but is it noticeable in real world every day usage (browsing the web for example)
@@amanieux Yes, it is, but, if you can avoid emmc memory it will just give you problems and make your workflow harder than you think imho. Rather spend extra money for laptop that you know will bring you value.
I have no ssd socket and no ssd only emmc HELP i only have 32 gb and im dying
Hmmm, which laptop do you have?
Btw, this video doesn't explain at all how to upgrade the "32 GB EMMC memory to SS or HDD", as he says in the title, he doesn't say what could fit, or if you need any adaptor, he doesn't even show how he put the SSD in the laptop. This is basically just an overexplained windows installation, nothing more.
You cannot physicly upgrade from emmc to ssd. It is soldered to your motherboard. What you can do is put ssd and install windows on it therefore bypass emmc and use it like storage. Hope this clarify things for you.
Oke, sorry that I wasn't clear. I mean, he doesn't explain how he added a SSD in the laptop, next to the EMMC, a lot of 32gb laptops need also a special adaptor to do that. Btw, that's not called bypassing the EMMC :)) lmao. He just used another drive to install windows, that's not a big deal at all. Anyone who knows to install windows, knows also to change the boot order, because many times you can't install windows without doing that lol
Will this work if i have forgoten my bios password?
Don't know about this specific situation. If you cannot access bios than i think it won't work.
i have Acer Aspire ES13 ES1-331C30P eMMC 32GB. can i install SSD 240 GB?
You can try. If you will have some problems leave a comment. Thanks.
@@Michael-kg5fi I have tried installing it. This can be done on a 120gb ssd.it work😃😃

@@Michael-kg5fi Can you please reccomend a method for HDD, I use connnex and it has 64GB EMMC so I installed a 1TB HDD and I need to install windows in it and use it as my primary storage just like you did in the vid.
@@thabisosimphiwe5578 Process will probably be same as with ssd. Select proper boot order in bios and install windows from usb
What is the point of in fact moving windows to just as small ssd and emtpy the eMMC storage witch you call memory? Could have done this by just putting the SSD in the pc and go to disk management in windows and arange the partitions like you want and then just cloned the win from eMMC storage chip to the SSD.A 32 GB SSD does not last long.should been 256 or 500GB SSD if cpu is not slow and bottleneck the SSD,then a cheaper alternative would be a normal HDD witch can last 10 years easy if it does not get moved around when in use.5year or when limit for read and write is reached the SSD quit.No warning like from a mechanical drive. I have a Asus with 32 Gb eMMC and are going to change it to 64 or as big as the biggest variant of this notebook is sold with.128 GB eMMC chip and a 500Gb HDD that i have many of. That is my plan, only price of the eMMC chip will decide this, combined with a "fast" HDD 300-500Gb. To put a 32 GB SSD was funny and mostly useless. Price for a Hybrid SHDD is cheap for 1 Tb where 8 or 16 is SSD type storage. When they stop booting you can still take it out ,use a adapter with usb and hook it up to another pc and get the data stored on the mechanical portion of the drive witch is 900 GB plus
