This is not a problem, you can ignore it and proceed or remove it and proceed, it really doesn't matter. This happens because Windows Security sees that the app may include 3rd party offers, meaning it may try to install unwanted software after installing the Minitool Partition Wizard. Just pay attention at the end of the installation if it prompts you to install additional software just ignore or uncheck the option, or close the installation, the actual app would have already been fully installed at this point.

    In this video, we show how to fully transfer your Windows operating system and Data to another storage drive without losing your Windows license and without losing any files or applications. The new storage drive, in this case, could be an SSD or HDD.
    This can be used when upgrading from HDD to SSD, replace a failing disk, mirror your PC to another PC, or upgrade to a larger storage disk without losing anything.
    If you observe any changes in the procedures due to change in minitool version, please read the article for updated instructions: www.easytechstutorials.com/ho...

      Hello, thanks for the video as usual. I did everything as mention by you but i kept having error when I boot from the clone disk. I have done several times and keeping getting same error message; Recovery your pc/Device needs to be repaired . I have ssd disk of bigger space that was initially installed windows but i wanted to clone it with the lesser size and new computer. I don't know if i have to format it specially before the cloning?

    Love you dude. My dad's laptop took ages to boot, atleast like 10 mins. I suggested to install an ssd to speed up the laptop myself without any idea on how to actually install it. Your video was a life saver for me as I was completely clueless.After following your video, i was able to successfully replace old hdd with sata ssd. Only problem i faced was that it took 4.5 hours to copy files which was done perfectly. Now it loads within 15 seconds which is insane. Again thank you so much😊

    @TychiBalls Před rokem +5

    Just wanted to say thank you very much for this video. Everything seems to be functioning ok but I do have some questions as to why the cloned drive is not identical when it comes to labeling the partitions.
    When looking in disk management, my original 500GB SSD had what appeared to be 4 partitions. When looking in file explorer, I could only see the C: Drive at 458GB. So basically 3 of those 4 partitions were hidden in file explorer. This is what I see in disk management:
    ORIGINAL 500GB SSD
    1. 260 MB Healthy (EFI System Partition)
    2. OS (C:) 458.34 GB NTFS Healthy (Basic Data Partition)
    3. 850 MB Healthy (Recovery Partition)
    4. 17.50 GB Healthy (Basic Data Partition)
    So then I ran the cloning process on the new 2TB SSD and once finished, file explorer shows an E: Drive for 0.98 GB and a C: Drive for 1.74 GB. The reason the D: Drive letter is not used is because I also have a 2.5 inch HDD installed which the letter D is assigned to. In file explorer the E: Drive on this new cloned SSD is not able to open. I get a message saying "You don't currently have permission to access this folder." In disk management here is how the partitions are labeled on the new SSD:
    TARGET 2TB SSD
    1. 1016 MB Healthy (EFI System Partition)
    2. OS (C:) 1790.40 GB NTFS Healthy (Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Basic Data Partition)
    3. 3.24 GB
    4. 68.36 GB Healthy (Basic Data Partitiion)
    So I'm guessing that the size differences is based on percentages of the new larger SSD since it went from cloning a 500GB to a 2TB SSD. I also think that the new cloned SSD showing the E: Drive 0.98 GB in file explorer is basically that 1016 MB EFI System Partition (correct me if I'm wrong) which may also be why I can't open that drive. My question is why is it showing up only on this new SSD? On the original SSD there was no E: Drive or any other drive showing in file explorer other than C: Drive. Is there a way to hide this E: Drive?
    My other question is the labels of the partitions in disk management. If you look at the first 4 partitions mentioned (ORIGINAL 500GB SSD) above, the labeling of the partitions do not match the TARGET 2TB SSD labels. The first one on the list which is the EFI System Partitions seem to match up label wise and the 4th on the list which is the labeled as (Basic Data Partitions) seems to be ok as well but the other 2 are different. The TARGET C: Drive has extras like boot, page file, and crash dump. Why is that? Then on TARGET there is also that nameless 3.24 GB by itself which I think was supposed to be cloned for the 850 MB Recovery Partition from the ORIGINAL SSD and maybe that is what it cloned but why is there no label for it?
    So basically just curious if I need to be concerned with any of these issues mentioned above. I would like to hide the E: Drive since I can't seem to open it anyway and let me know if the labels are all ok even if they don't match in disk management.
    Thanks for your time.

      @niovanmartinez3343 Před rokem

      Have you found any solution for this issue?

    • @TychiBalls
      @TychiBalls Před rokem

      @@niovanmartinez3343 I ended up returning the 2TB SSD (Silicon Power brand) and getting another one (Crucial brand) and it worked out better. I used 2 different softwares to clone. The Mini Partition Wizard was the one that did the job. I also think I corrupted that the Silicon Power one by using a USB hub during cloning instead of plugging it in directly to my laptop. Kept running into errors with the hub and I couldn’t figure out why. I kept having to reformat the SSD to try again and finally when I plugged it directly into the laptop it went all the way through the cloning process without error but I think the drive was already corrupt and that’s why I had all those unusual partitions. So when I got the Crucial SSD and just did it without the hub, it seemed to work all lot better and the partitions seemed to match up better but not identical still which still kind of bothered me. I think it was the recovery partitions that had something weird about it. Sorry I can’t remember the exact details since it was a while ago but either the label was off for that partition or it couldn’t clone it at all. All I know is that I’m going to keep my original 500gb SSD intact just in case I need that recovery partition in the future. My laptop didn’t come with any installation discs for Windows so I think it might he tricky to do a factory reset or anything of that nature if I don’t have that recovery partition. Hope that helps.

      Some state that viruses also go to your new drive and setup!
      Did you encounter any abnormal events after the transfer?

    Hi
    I have couple of very important questions.
    1. Will this process clone all the softwares and applications e.g, business software like POS and Microsoft SQL? Will it not affect their workability?
    2. Also will this process erase the original (source) disk? If not, will it continue to work like before?
    Awaiting your response to start my migration process.
    Thanks in advance.

    This tool worked for me where a Macrium clone failed to boot. It's a bit different than other competitors work. When you hit Finish it doesn't just start. It took me a few seconds to figure out why nothing was happening and I needed to click Apply. And it won't complete from the GUI because the "drive is being used" where the others will. And when you restart you get an bare command-line process that runs very slow. But it worked.

    Thanks for the very informative video! I have a question:
    what is better:
    1) to clone multiple operating systems to the same external HDD where I have backups of my documents (one separate partition for each OS and another separate partition for my backup)?
    2) Or is it better to clone my operating systems (I have 4 of them) to one HDD for each OS,
    3) or last option, to backup my documents to HDD #1 and to clone my OSes in one HDD #2 with as many partitions as OSes ?
    And if so, why?

    This is great and straight to point. However please I need assistance. I used this method exactly and changed HDD of two laptops to SSD. All running fine, but none of them opens any external hard disc. I have tried 3 of my external hard disc in each of them and none opened. These same external hard discs open in other computers. Pls any solution from anyone who may have encountered such? Thanks

    Worked for me. Thanks. Only issue is that it created two additional partitions with my new C drive. One is a system partition with the f letter assigned that is about 1gb. I can't access that as it states I don't have permission to access this folder even though it is a drive not a folder. It doesn't show up in disk manager either, no matter what I do. The second partition is about 2gb with the g letter assigned which I can access and is empty. I'm happy though as it all worked otherwise. Thanks again.

    Unfortunately I had to go through a side quest to modify my SSD a 2nd time (this free tech doesn't let me convert it straight to GPT, so I had to fix that). But this was the start of me operating going from 930 GB to 3.63 TB. So thanks a lot for the help!
