@@staceygram5555 He's won plenty of stuff, has a 4th at WSM and holds multiple world records. I wouldn't be so harsh. In truth he should have retired from top level competitions some time ago but he's still worthy of respect for what he's done and for how he conducts himself.
@@staceygram5555 Mark has never been dead last at Britain's Strongest Man before. For the last seven years out of 12 athletes he's always placed between 5th and 8th. At least get it right.

@@killinit372that and bad coaching there is no reason why his coach couldn’t pay more attention to Luke’s specific needs a long time ago, I mean they have there own gym to train in it never made sense to me tbh….but maybe they wanted to focus on building the stoltman brothers brand n felt they needed to stick close together at that point

I thought Luke might be done after 2023...but he has come charging back. Very much looking forward to what he does at WSM this year...
I still think even on this good form he'll be out of the top 5, but the final is looking very promising. Anywhere between just missing out on the final and 6th-10th imo.
I think you could potentially have 5 people who have been champion at WSM, possibly the most stacked field ever. I dont see anyone else getting in the top if Luke could get 6th-8th he will have done amazingly well.
Can never count luke out it was like seeing the love of the sport he has return best Britain strongest man I think so far top 3 incredible performance

Great video! I think strongman needs to start implementing lasers for more accurate time keeping for these events were hundredths of a second matter. So much room for error with stop watches.

The talent pool just keeps getting deeper. Good to see new lineups in these comps. Always sad to see the changing of the guard but there looks to be a bright future even though the likes of Big Z, Terry H, Brian Shaw and Mark Felix are now bowing out
Tom winning was pretty much guaranteed, but seeing Luke on the podium is a very pleasant surprise.

Congrats to Luke. He truly is one of the best Strongmen. He had a bad year in 2023 due to focusing on having a baby. But he’s back! Big Loz I love you. But you really need to take time to give Luke a proper shoutout. He came in 2nd on 3 events. The sandbag event kept him from placing 2nd in the show. Irregardless the Bull put on an awesome show as well. Britain’s 2024 was amazing!

Athletes from Great Britain and Ireland are eligible. There are national title competitions in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland that are qualifiers.
Im getting a little sick of all the speed events in strong man competitions.

Too bad that the only one that didn't get a rep on the 400 kg deadlift was someone who for years was the best deadlifter in the world.

1. That's not true. But he did do well, I'll give him that.
2. He only made it out of the group stage twice doing that entire decade (limiting the number and talent he went up against), which leads me to
3. That's not a fair comparison, because not everyone goes all out on every single event if they don't have to.
Example: in 2007 he did actually reach the final and he did win the deadlift for reps event, earning him 10 points.
But in the first three events he got 2, 4.5, and 3 points, which meant he was dead last before the deadlift event, and miles away from any of the competitors in contention for the podium (three men had more than twice as many points after the first three events, and the rest were several points ahead as well). In other words: Mark went first on deadlift and went all out, while the rest, especially those in the lead, simply had to beat the ones closest to them on points. There's no reason for Pudz to do two extra reps to beat someone who's not a threat at all. But that doesn't mean that he couldn't do it if he had to - maybe. We don't know.
How this channel doesn't have at least half a million subscribers is beyond me! I just saw a channel with 2 million all he does is walk around farting in public I mean FFS I do that all the time! Anyway rant done thanks for the content great work loz and crew 💪👍
