Kevin faires... that guy is a freak for how relatively small he is. I remember a few years ago, not sure how, but I happened upon his Instagram page where he was training hard, he took the time to chat with me on the messages and at that point he was basically competing at some local events and his lifts were nowhere near where they are now. It's so cool to see how far he's come, from there to here at the top table mixing it with the absolute elite of the sport.
To see this in person is on my bucket list! I'm 51 and have always love these kind of event. Was to busy being a mom for so long no time. Now I got time but no $$$ lol one day !
What the hell, I watched the whole thing and it gets to the end, I look at the youtube timer and I realize I've been watching for over 45 minutes ...... subscribed!
eddie "why you got the camera on me, put it back on them" lmfaooo cause he couldn't talk yet... he was just standing there clearly aggravated with the camera guy lmfaoooo. classic eddie.
How can these athletes not learn from others mistakes right before them... Luke watching his brother fail every log then go on to exactly the same thing... Gavin just had to come out and press the smallest log three times to place well and save strength for the next events
Yeah for sure it's actually one of my criticisms of the Shaw classic is making all the events super heavy and putting the guys through it at an altitude they are not used to .. it's super tough but also kinda isn't fare on them as they obviously want to push it for themselves and for the show.. I think it can kinda make them look bad when it's not really their fault . That's just my opinion.
@@bruceMooseman, I don’t see how that’s an issue. Other strongman comps force them to deal with blistering cold, harsh heat, rain, snow and poor organisation. Having slightly less oxygen isn’t that big a deal by comparison.
A tad funny to me. The announcers keep saying how the contestant is a huge presser, yet don't do as well as the one they did not claim to have that strength, the MOOOSE! Interesting how the Moose seems to sneak into the space of others.
Imagine hosting a show where multiple athletes pass out in multiple events. In a cool time of year, not in a hot place. In my opinion they should ask the athletes to back their gear down a little… their blood pressures are so high they are literally passing out…
Tell that to mark hunt who sued the ufc for allowing Brock Les at to skip the testing pool rules to fight at ufc 200.. or is the altitude why Jon jones hid from USAF’s under a mma cage? Keep accepting the lies.
Ok..these comments?! I mean u can have critisms but talk about negative!! Theres so many things to point out.. the main one is that the shaw classic is really still a very new show, so working out issues and is trying to become the next big event and shaw is trying to push the sport (not always going to get everything right, i have my critisms myself) its also very heavy.. as in all the events are heavy so everyone is knackered. Theres nothing wrong with hoopers press.. as long as its locked out and controlled (its strongman not olympic lifting) tom stoltman has autism!! And he has come on a long way with how he approaches events mentally. Goodness just be atleast constructive people!
I could see chipping up Pieces of Hickory to make Smoker chips . But all those slabs just burn them . Unless U have a use for that stuff ? Cover walking trails .
IMO, Hooper never does a proper overhead press. What he does is more like a standing incline press. I think the bar or log should always be directly overhead at lockout for the rep to count.

Yes! Log Press is my favorite event.

Love re-watching these events over and over 💪
I remember how back in the days Big Z toyed with those logs💪💪💪
And Bill Kazmaier
At the Arnold Big Z 4 reps with 451
At the Arnold you can choose 451. If it's no lift. You can still go to the lighter one in the next round.

Great video!
thank you, i was waiting for this one to be published, only the stone left right ?
What a atmosphere. Great crowd!
Hell yea

The stoltmans are not that smart - especially Tom
Agreed. These bozos should only start out with the heavier weights only if they're 100% positive that they can do it.
@@ice-xv1hithe issue is this was the heaviest strongman competition ever lol every press was heavy
Well, Luke should hit 440 fairly easy
You’re expecting intelligence from people whose job it is to lift things up and put them down?
I use to watch Strongman since I was little boy 😂😂
we live to watch them alwes 😀
Porra você e um mostro Bryan shaw parabéns ,pra min você eo maior e melhor strong de todos os tempos , e depois o eddie hall
The altitude did so much damage.

What you mean ? At what altitude does the event happen ?

Could it be the weight distribution of this log that is throwing people off? With the smaller middle part and bigger ends.
When is this from? Shaw Classic?
Is this a joke? I'm a but slow w sarcasm so I was curious.

Is that Mark Philippi I see ?
❤😊
Max is finished, he can go with Rob K
How about the trapped under a car event?
Are the jumps to big? Maybe a 4th log can help that out.
Damn that sucks trey must've used a ton of energy in just cleaning that 440lb log 2 times after overhead pressing it twice.
Did they use a pic of Brian Shaw for clickbait?
Seems like he was a bit unfairly harsh on Tom Evans
Will anyone ever beat Z's 4 reps at 205 kg?
Watching this while pressing out a log
Trey could have had an easy 3 reps if he paced himself

He always pushes his head through. I don't see why people always act like he never locks out when he clearly does.
It's 100% a good rep every time. From point A to point B - strongman.
@@Tomm5997eh he looks forward. He never places his head through. Never locks out properly. 0 reps from Hooper.
I don't think these log presses were bad, but the monster dumbbell at worlds was another thing.
@@thedolenorway younger refs would be a start.
Worst camera angle in the history of sports. I lasted 30 seconds.
Nit pick: I don’t like the look of these logs. Plastic looking. Make them look metal or make them out of wood please
Strong but not smart with time or stepping back for one more lesser log.
I'm first one again 😃😄 like me 😆😆
Strongest Man on Earth... ? most are a disappointment a total waste of time and money🤦
