  • Sorry the audio isn't the best on this! Next time we'll mute the background videos. But in any case, this is a fun "where's Waldo" of spotting the differences in Amber's technique when using the Atlas vs. Apollo vs. standard competition kettlebells for double kettlebell cleans, double kettlebell jerk, and one-arm kettlebell snatch. (We don't mention them all in the video. Like for example during the snatch side-by-sides you can see that the arc of the snatch is tighter using the Atlas Pro Kettlebell.)
Anyhow, as you can see, the Atlas Pro Kettlebells fit her frame the best, but the window (the space inside the handle) is actually larger on the Atlas than the Apollo, so if you like to whip it fast like she does, you may opt for an Atlas instead of Apollo even if you're a larger frame.
We want to hear your experience, too - comment and let us know if you've had the chance to compare them!

I'm 5 foot 9 inches 170lb male. The 16kg Apollo is currently out of stock. But the Atlas of the same weight is in stock. Would i be better waiting for the Apollo or going ahead and getting the Atlas?

I'm 5' 10" and use the Atlas for most of my general fitness workouts. I use the Apollos when i train for competing.

what is her height? I wish the atlas came in 32kg somehow. I'm having trouble deciding what size I would need.
I'm 5'7", 155lbs, and have only ever used the dragondoor rkc kettlebells and rogue e-coat bells. I'm not sure how the apollo size compares to either of those.
I guess for single kb work it wouldn't matter much, but 2kb front squats and clean and presses are staples for me.

At 5'7" and with your desire to do 32 kilos. I would recommend the Apollo line.

5’2”. Being accustomed to dragon door and RKC bells you will likely prefer Atlas. I wish they could come heavier, too, but 24kg is basically solid - just has a little hand-hold/rim on the bottom. You can get it to 26kg with a chip though. Two of those in a rack squat is good weight!

are you going to do kettlebell sport or lift heavier than 24kg/53lbs?

@zebady999 I would do the Apollo. Because you're already used to the size of the Adjustable, which is slightly larger than competition specs, you'll find Apollo's dimensions super comfortable and easy to adapt to. You'll find your reps per minute increase significantly and you'll be able to train more frequently due to the superior ergonomics.
