    The Panorama P4 is a 49-key keyboard controller instrument with an extraordinarily intuitive workflow. Its deep integration with Bitwig Studio, Cubase, Logic Pro and Reason puts the spotlight on performance and creativity and answers a need music makers have been voicing for years. Keyboard and pads are dynamic, sensitive and balanced carefully with a solid feel that allows for complete expression. All of this, combined with 93 real-time controls available at any one time makes Panorama the definitive keyboard controller for Bitwig Studio, Cubase, Logic Pro & Reason.

    Can you split the board in the controller to be used as two separate sounds on one controller.

    P series are best Nektar products with both build quality and software possibilities, you can control even channel strips, EQ, compressor's, reverbs ect. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO CONTROL CHANNEL STRIPS WITH NEW T SERIES ! New products are performance oriented and it's step forward in another way that was expected but quality build is best in MIDI controller world that's for sure

    Why does it have 12 pads when Kong and many other instruments have 16 pads? Oversight?

    How does the Nektar compare to Komplete Kontrol S49 keyboard?

      there is no comparison. Nektar Panorama is the coolest ever looking keyboard. I bought one and after 1 weak I returned. The keys are bad compare to S61 mk2 which i have now. motorized fader is good on nektar but nothing special. It is basic DAW controller. One thing that I hate in Nektar Panorama is the screen which is to far from rotaries and faders. So yow get confuse when adjusting something. In komplete kontroll you know what you are doing because the screen rotaries and buttons are paired correctly. In komplete kontroll you can assign any parameter. there are many things way better in komplete controll. Anyway I thing is time for midi controller with touch screen and more advanced futures. Compare to some other fields, this industry is pathetic. I thing right now is much easy to use ipad or other tablets as a virtual DAW controller than hardwares.

      "Compare to some other fields, this industry is pathetic."
      Completely agree. Tech that most music people think is cutting edge is really carry-over from the last century. Proper tablet implementation makes more sense. Korg offers a good example because they still sell computer based versions of their software and have added tablets versions. Those who have tried both -- not me, yet -- typically rate the tab versions much higher.

    I've watched three different video demos of the P4 and P6, and not one of the demonstrators ever touched the piano keyboard. I'm going to have to assume the action sucks, and there's no aftertouch either, so I'm passing on it.

    Why oh why did you have to ruin a near-perfect controller by settling for 12 drumpads instead of 16? On some compact models there's just no room for it, that's fine, but this design has exactly the space needed for another row of 4. It's like a premium car with 3 wheels...

      Facts. All of these companies ALWAYS MISS THE FUCKING MARK. LIKE DAMN IT'S BEEN YEARS, GET THE MIDI CONTROLLER RIGHT ALREADY WOULD YA'? Who's the IDIOT THAT KEEPS PUTTING JUST 12 PADS ON ALL THESE DIFFERENT MIDI CONTROLLERS?

      They use 12 because it’s 12 notes in a scale. I understand but still agree they should have added 16 pads. Maybe they will update this soon.

    • @guitarcenter
      @guitarcenter Před 7 lety +1

      The design of it doesn't have a soundbank on the unit itself but rather uses sounds within the software.

    @Musician's Friend:
    While I appreciate you posting Greg's overview, why the cheesy background music? I find it distracting/irritating and it adds no value to the presentation. Do you really think someone who would buy this controller would be impressed by it?
