Mohr stories was the best podcast for a hot minute
This is probably my favorite episode. And I've heard em all. NEED to bring him back for more of those awesome stories-- I was crying laughing in the car.
That impersonation of Norm McDonald was uncanny, the most accurate I’ve ever heard anybody do it. It gave me chills, but also made me laugh hard. I would like to have heard more than just 10 seconds of it.
He does it on a few other podcasts and interviews if u wanna hear more....the one he did on the Aries Spears podcast was great
Adam Carolla Show - TONS of Norm MacDonald impressions
Jay Mohr is super funny. Great stories from the last best era of SNL. One of my favorite episodes.
His Tracy Morgan is insanely good.
It's good even if it isn't his story
Yeh that's another story he stole from Kreischer
His Colin Quinn is the best impression I’ve ever heard of any person ever. He did it in front of Colin on a podcast and I honestly could not tell who was who at times.
His Harvey Keitel is also excellent. Tracy Morgan of course. Underrated impressionist.
Wow. One of the best episodes. Amazing mix of stories, impressions, and shared history. Please do an annual Jay Mohr episode.
I've listened to every episode...
I have to say this one one of my favorites
Jay Mohr is so Hilarious! Good to see him on the podcast and hear these great stories. His Tracy Morgan kills!
This was way better than I expected 🤣😂
That is probably you guys’ best episode, no awkward self promoting, no awkward dead air fills, just good stories
Glad to see Jay on here. He is a legendary entertainer. Doesn’t necessarily get enough recognition for his snl, movie and tv career. He’s really excellent.
I would say he barely gets any recognition at all. Rolling Stone bashed him, saying he was one of the worst cast members. WatchMojo put him on their worst list etc
Well he's a joke thief like this episode
I was a big Jay Mohr fan. "Whatcha benching?" I don't know what happened to him. He had a short-lived-series on FOX after SNL. I thought it was hysterical. Nobody else got it.
I have heard all the episodes…this was the best! JJ is phenomenal. I feel like ya’ll left some on the table…bring him back. 🕺🏻 The stories were hilarious!
Loved this one! First time I heard Jay Mohr on a podcast and he killed it!
Great storyteller + awesome impressions + hilarious stories = homerun!!!
***BONUS POINTS for so many Farley stories too!
One of the funniest sketches with Jay, Chris and David that I've only seen like once and I can't find anywhere was the one where Jay plays Ricki Lake. Spade and Farley are guests on the show and Spade reveals that he's sleeping with farleys mother and father...
Farley: "my father isn't even gay!"
Spade: "he sure seemed gay when he was with me!" (points at crowd) (crowd cheers)
such a funny sketch
Jay has some killer chops and his Buddy Hackett is so perfect...He does the voice of Paulie the parrot in that movie... The podcast he did with Kevin Pollak is sublime! So many brilliant observations.
Those two David stories at the end are the best lol.
This was one of the funniest episodes so far. Jay brought some great stories.😂
this was the most entertaining episode yet.
This is why we need this show.
Very good episode - wow, the rawness of his addiction stories are crazy! Sounds like he was on his way to the 'in remembrance' section of the show.
Came here from looking up Christopher Walken impressions. So it's great to hear about that right in the beginning. This is gonna be a great episode. Jay is underrated. Such a great impressionist.
The Farley anecdote at the end was the chef’s kiss!
Love Jay...we need to see more of him now.
I knew two things would be true about this: 1. it would have low views 2. it would be one of the best episodes
Been waiting for jay to be on the pod! This is awesome
he does the absolute best Tracy Morgan
Jay Mohr is an incredible natural talent.
Agree 100%.
Already re-listened. So funny.
I haven't laughed that hard in a while
One of the best episodes yet!!!!!!
Really enjoy the pod cast ! Love hearing the old stories!
Love this podcast!! Have been a fan of Carvey's and Spade since their SNL days. So glad they did this. All the guests have been great!
More please!!
Hate him or despise him, Mohr always brings it in interviews.
People hate him?
@@vernonbandy2597yeah I think insecure people hate him because he's cocky and confident. For example, Rolling Stone ranked him almost dead last out of all 150 cast members
@@leob4403 that's crazy. I just always thought that was part of the schtick, and I always thought he was one of the most underrated cast members
@@vernonbandy2597 yeah Jay has insane comedy potential, like Sandler and Farley, but in a completely different way, Sandler has great characters and musical ability, Farley has insanely good delivery and physical comedy, Jay can alter his voice in the most peculiar ways, you hear in this podcast even the master himself Dana Carvey is blown away by Jays ability to alter the tone of his voice for impressions. To fire all those 3 guys at the same time was absolute madness from SNL.
@@leob4403they did the same thing to norm that list is a joke
He was "the" Walken guy.
Jay has a story about Chris Walken and his dogs "Jay, your dogs, don't have a tail, what happened?". Jay as Walken "If I had a tail, I mean, you gotta be expressive with that tail. They'd see, "GET BACK" don't botter Chris today. How do you know he's angry? Just look at his tail".
I totally forgot about his Tracy Morgan. I think everyone did Tracy Morgan back then. Jay does it the best. Breuer used to do Tracy Morgan a lot too. In fact, if I remember Jay and Jim are good friends. They were funny as hell on O&A.
Jay is so great. Seriously under-rated. Maniac genius.
Great episode! I enjoy listening to the SNL chapter of your lives.
This was a very good episode. Y'all should bring Jay back for a second time.
Love Jay, and his Norm is awesome. My favorite podcast!
He’s the ONLY guy who can get close to a Norm impression. All others are silly caricatures.
His Colin Quinn is absolutely incredible.
Awesome!! I'm always excited to get a new podcast thank you all 😊
Great guest, wish it was longer!!
Loved this one!
Thank God he found a program that worked for him.
His Norm is impeccable. ❤
Everything he does is impeccable.
I don't care what anyone says as far as bert and Jay but I've always liked Jay. would love to bump into him at a bar
Best episode.
Everybody thinks Bert's an asshole, but Ernie just wore him down until he snapped.
Ive always loved Jay's Tracy Morgan
Thanks guys... this was one of your best...
Surprised they didn't mention Jay's book, Fighting for Airtime, which is all about his time on SNL. Mohr became a big part of the O&A radio show, where he killed every time he was on. I remember him crushing it whether he was in person or on the phone. His impressions are always great, and his stand up highlights his tremendous writing and story telling skills, but unscripted he was razor sharp and naturally funny. O&A eventually became a hangout for a ton of stand up comics and Jay was one of the first and still, one of the best.
The best Jay line from an O&A show, it was an early appearance, he was talking about hooking up with someone and said “Then I pulled out and made a map of Hawaii on her back.”
@@brianmay3669 ..."Don't forget Kauai!"🤣

50k subscribers huh? killing it guys
(isn’t this an unofficial channel?
@@wuhaninstituteofvirologyno it's official dufus
I know the show isn't about gone too soon cast members, but I really wish they would do a Jan Hooks tribute. She was an amazing SNL performer. Just watched Brenda the Waitress again, genius.
crazy he married jeanie buss and also played kareem abdul jabbars agent in 'winning time'
This was great
Jay Mohr is the Man!! Great guest💯
Well, Jay Mohr is a man. Unfortunately, that's about it.
Oh, this one's gold😅
Jay Mohrs is crazy, and an addict, and has done some bad stuff(treating openers like dirt back in the day, addict shizzle on the road). But good god he's the funniest MF'r off the cuff. Hope he keeps it good karma going . Love to see him doing well & being funny.
Mohr's Owen Wilson sounds like Little Nicky @55:18
lol I thought the exact same thing in my car
Real comedian alert. Look out
That was great!
❤ and here before podcasts or audible 🎉🎉
Always liked Jay. Good get Fly’s!
Love show do more video would love to see u all to
Always interesting to hear about the 'Game of Thrones' aspect of working on SNL, as Dana puts it.
Mohr had a well-documented difficult time on the show (along with Sarah Silverman and Laura Kightlinger), despite me remembering him as being there during a really funny period.
I heard Lovitz say that the real benefit of getting cast on SNL is that you sellout stand up shows for life. (starving artist insurance)
Maybe years ago. I don’t know if it can carry the same weight nowadays. Mono-culture is going away.
Love the background stories. I would love to be involved with something like SNL obviously I’m not alone. The idea of being out on the edge of something so fabulous is a dream.
Untreated alcoholism
This is the SNL podcast I want Jay and Spade talking real SNL stories from the golden years. Dana needs his own podcast about the 2 same stories and 5 impersonations he does every episode
Jay Mohrs!
🎶
"Thank you BOYS!"
dude the tracy morgan part lolol i cant tell if this is real or a bit it must be real
Good book about being on the show, Gasping For Airtime.
Too funny and too short!!
He was briefly in the movie “Air”. He got big but im sure he’s still funny why doesnt he appear in any bigger roles anymore?
Sorry that "Action" didn't go longer. Mohr was great on that.
Please, Dana and David, have Eddie on as soon as possible. Eddie Murphy needs to be in the roll call of snl greats
😂❤
Jay is too often overlooked
Lorne Michaels impression is 10 minutes in for anyone that came here for that.
He's got a James Caan thing
44:55
Video sure would Be NICE!!!!!!!!
Jay Mohrs
Thought his Tracey Morgan sounded like Sandler for a second.
38:14
Best episode?
Mohr has a great TV show “Gary Unmarried”. The first year was great but that second year was atrocious.
I thought you guys were working on not talking over your guests?
Dave are you sure nobody farted into your pillow ? You can get pink eye from your buddies farting on your pillow .
Get Fred Wolf on the show please
Jay Mohr is one of the quickest comedy minds in the business.
He's a master mechanic...It's because he studied the nuances of the Greats; Carlin, Lenny, Buddy Hackett, and all those from those eras, then he made them Jersey...:)
Yes! Bruer next please.
GOOD QUESTION, JAY MOHR. *Where ARE the cameras?!!!* And who had the appt? Why was this so short? I gotta say the ones I think are going to be The Best are meh. The ones I think won’t be all that great are the funniest ones. Wish this went on longer.
Adderall is just "clean" meth lol
It's literally amphetamine but people seem to treat it as though it's something different or just medicine but every pill popper knows exactly what it is lol
It's the methadone or suboxone of meth
Adderall is like drinking a beer while meth is chugging a gallon of hard liquor.
@@JackBirdbath you must be new
@@DavidMccallister65 ah yes, that’s why I keep seeing all those college students with meth mouth. Makes sense now!
I swear you people don’t even hear yourselves. They are similar in composition. Absolutely not similar in severity. Get some perspective.
This should have been two hours.
Jay should tell his Tracy Morgan story.
The one he stole from Kreischer?
Jay is definitely a funny impressionist but he really mistreated Bert Kreischer (who I don’t think is funny at all) and you’d have to assume Jay treated so many others like that when he was doing well in his career.
They forgot to mention Jerry MacQuire
*MacGuire
OMG ! Jay said faggy. OMG, OMG. The sky is falling.
Comedy🧡🩷🩵
Jay Mohr strikes me as a bullshitter every time I see him interviewed.
are not all comedians bullshooters?
Embellishes the hell out of one.
