- Jay Mohr joins Adam Ray for a new episode of the About Last Night Podcast! Jay talks about his battles with addiction, getting engaged to Jeanie Buss, his experiences in comedy and Hollywood legends like Al Pacino and Chris Farley. Jay began his career as a stand-up comedian in the late 1980s and early 1990s, performing in various comedy clubs across the country.

Jay gained wider recognition in the mid-1990s when he joined the cast of "Saturday Night Live" for two seasons. Mohr's impressions of celebrities such as Christopher Walken, Sean Connery, and Dick Vitale were particularly popular among audiences.
In addition to his work on "Saturday Night Live," Mohr has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including "Jerry Maguire," "Pay It Forward," "Ghost Whisperer," and "Gary Unmarried." He has also hosted several TV shows, including "Last Comic Standing" and "Jay Mohr Sports."
Jay is also known for his work as a radio host. He hosted a sports talk show on Fox Sports Radio from 2013 to 2016, and he currently hosts a daily podcast called "Mohr Stories," where he interviews fellow comedians and celebrities.

Many years ago I getting on the train at Newark Airport and Jay and his son, a lad of 5 or 6, got on the small car with me. I didn't gush, just gave him the dude nod, and he said, "Excuse me sir, is this the right train for the rental car lot?" I replied it was, that's where I was going so get off when I do and he'd be good. As we exited the train he said "Thank you, sir." And immediately there was an echo from the boy, "Thank you sir!" I thought a big celebrity with such a well-behaved polite kid must be a class act.

Jay Mohr made me laugh so hard a few yrs (or maybe sooner) about now and forever he’ll be flying on high alert....walking back from the rest room recon ing all the passengers.....looking for....?....but, somehow I truly think he spoke for many a Manish 2:27 man after 9/11, and it somehow comforted me to realize this.....and I was Grateful for All Brave and Good Men...which most of you are....🙏🏼

Mohr Stories was one of the few podcasts I listened to regularly. Then it just disappeared. I always wondered what happened with Jay. I had no clue.

I like Jay Mohr I think he’s funny, he feels like somebody I know because he kind of talks like people like you up with, but he’s a little delusional. I’m sure his ex was a nightmare, but to act like he’s a much bigger star than Nikki Cox is just not reasonable. She was on the show Vegas more recently than I can remember Jay on anything

Bert Kreisher made me dislike Jay years ago on what turned out to be a lie (shocking, I know lol) Fast forward to today I can’t stand Bert and I realize Jay is one of the more relatable and charming people in comedy, as he has always been. Congratulations on 2 years clean Jay!

@@JDSharar13 he was definitely lying about Jay stealing the Tracy Morgan joke. There’s a documentary here in YT with the proof. He went on JRE way back in the day saying he didn’t realize that story should be told on stage and was happy to let Jay take it and make a bit out of it. As time went on he changed the story over time to say Jay stole it and all the sudden was heartbroken over it. But to your point Jay was probably a huge POS in a lot of ways when he was using, but he didn’t steal that joke.

Then he became successful in his own right and said fuck it I’ll tell the truth and that’s when the truth about Jay started coming out. There’s a reason Jay is a nobody now just saying. He didn’t make friends. Bert still holds back on other people too even now and he’s dropped hits the last few years of other comics that are total pieces of shit. Idc where Bert is now I know what he came from and I trust his opinion on comics of that time because he was the butt of all their jokes at the time and not well respected yet.
You can tell Jay Mohr is from North Jersey because in his hometown stories everybody has a last name is Italian or Irish in his stories. I’m from North Jersey and my friends make fun of me because I don’t have a vowel at the end of my last name.
