On this episode of South Metro Unscripted with follow Firefighter Cooper and his FEMA Urban Search and Rescue K9 "Tag" on a training mission to locate trapped victims in a debris pile.
I know them!! haha look at taggy go!! its cool that you guys did this!! COTF-1 doesnt get enough attention or praise for what they do, my moms been on the team for what feels like forever! i hope this episode raises awareness of how hard the handlers and dogs both work to be able to help people
I wonder if they could teach a dog triage, like a herding dog like a collie who can keep the greens together and alert on status changes like if one passes out
I know it was said that Tag goes with Firefighter Cooper when he is on shift, But is their a specific apparatus/station that Firefighter cooper is assigned to because of tag, and if so does tag ride along to other calls with him or does tag just hang around the station untill the need arises that he is brought along such as a search and rescue
Tag is a beautiful, smart, and amazing dog. You can tell he loves his job!!!!!!!
One of the first K9's in my county was named 'Tag'. He was a great drug dog and retired with honors.
That's a good doggo. Love this video. Keep doing what you do !!

Great dog
Was the fire at 10:31 a coincidence?
Nice a few days ago is was going to ask if they use dogs. Now do your stations still have poles?

Go Tag! :-)
Is there a reason why he chose that breed? Would other breeds of dogs work just as well?
Chris Kiefer Border Collies are some of the smartest dogs though I'm sure use could use other dogs such as a shepherd
