That is why I almost wanted to keep my braces on. I have an extreme fear of losing my teeth/getting them knocked out and my ortho joked at the time "your teeth aren't going anywhere with braces, your jaw will probably break first."

My kid had really bad trauma to his teeth at 2 years old and eventually had his 3 front teeth removed almost a year after the trauma because they turned gray and at times a little pimple looking ball would form on the gum, now he is supposed to have his permanent teeth growing in but I'm afraid of how they will look 😢

My permanent retainer saved me from breaking a tooth right in half while doing taekwon do! It did get a crack in it horizontally, but the tooth had the cement stuff behind it, so all it got was a crack and thankfully, it's still alive nine years later

luckily never had this happen to me, but as a softball player i saw way too many of my teammates with face/mouth injuries from not wearing face masks. lots of trauma & grayed out teeth like shown in the video 😭
