- Working in the Oilfield as a truck driver we deliver a load of Frac Sand to a frac site. Hauling Frac Sand in the Oilfield comes with a lot of driving down Oilfield lease roads that can cause a lot of damage to the semi truck, so it is important to go slow down Oilfield lease roads, to avoid unnecessary damage. You will also be able to see how we use the belly dump to pick up Wet Frac Sand for the Hydraulic Frac site.

I'm in a similar situation. I'm in a TX oilfield driving flat bed. I'm training on wench truck tomorrow. I'm just an hour east of Austin. I had class A job hauling construction equipment making $1900 a week but they crashed the last 3 months. I have X endorsement,CDL A no restrictions. I'm thinking if this job doesn't work out in the next 6 months or less I'm thinking about heading to your part of TX.
Hopefully things went well winch truck training.
I tried applying with Halliburton this past February.
Got a “no thanks” for my effort.
I was told that if you were above room temperature, they’d hire you; they were waiving the one-year driving time requirement.
They rejected me.
Such is life.
Yeah Halliburton is kinda hard to get In unless you know someone, I’d say try Pro Petro or Nextier.
@@WeroLocoTrucking Living in the Houston area, I’ve never heard of them. But I’ll check them out, for sure!
Thanks!
Is that the No Doubt Well? Looks familiar. I’m an owner operator working with FilaMar.
Interesting. Think I will stick with the pavement. To old to be bouncing up and down all day. 😆
Welcome home Robert, good to see you back out on the lease roads. It’s my reset day, watching your video it makes me wanna get back out there and kick up some dust. I don’t know about you but after a week of bouncing around on these wonderful lease roads my back is ready for a break. Anyways, I look forward to more Permian Basin videos and sure hope to see you out here one day!
Good to be home! I’ll be looking for you out there big dog! You can email me at lemaster.robert@icloud.com
I was hauling sand in East New Mexico. Too many trucks not enough wells. Getting paid 30% ,can only do 2 runs per day sometimes one . Driving to one well with 40 trucks in staging and about 5 at wells. Takes forever to do a run , after doing the math I was making around $14 per hour, after a couple of weeks I quit. I can do much better hauling hazmat freight.
Love your content like how you give very specific details. I currently live in Colorado oil field has slowed down so much up here thinking about taking my truck to haul sand or water down there in Texas any advice on owner operators heading down there?
I know you feel about the heat, I'm in south Louisiana.
Hey Robert , so what happened with the water hauling ? I’m gettin ready to start water south of San Antonio
Try cleaning the cabin filter. May help the ac. Like riding a dam bull!
Weekly hours worked? Weekly net pay?
Great content! Can you suggest any companies that are hiring for cdl? I only have 2 years experience with all endorsements. I’m from CA so something that has a rotating schedule would be great. Thank you!
With 21 hour days how much sleep or time off do you get in between shifts? What's a break look like? How many days a week do you work? thanks!!
I wish I lived out there driving Brine is not all that out here in the shale
Can't you with a hazmat, also haul oil itself?
Yes
Guys that haul hazmat like oil and stuff out there and up in the bakken make good ass money but you put up with more shit regulations wise
I paused 5:00 "20 hour days" No way!!! I would be dead from crashing.
Do y’all get harassed a lot by D O T
Would you consider mesquite well service to be a solid company with consistent or is it a rocky situation at times do they still have a lot of work
You can talk smack about sandhaulers but only bottom drops and sand boxers. I hate those guys lol cheap rate haulers
Im in west texas doing hopper bottom with a certain company and it’s SLOW im currently waiting 9hrs today for a load I’ve only done 10 loads in 7 days company has 200 drivers only 2 wells I came from across the country based on promises from the recruiter they totally screwed me
That sucks man, do you have a hazmat? Hazmat is paying good right now.
@@WeroLocoTrucking I watch all your videos thx for sharing your tips & experiences. There’s a 17 mile long lease rd outside Loving, TX it’s got the worse road EVER I take it slow I don’t care people can go around
Thats why nobody wants to do hopper work. Its always like that , you barely do 2 load a day , that if you dont stop to eat or take a shower. Box chassis work like 5F used to be good , not anymore they paying around 80 bucks a load . Sandhauling is done ....
Time to move to waterhauling
